Trade Bait for Vegas

Hi all,

As we know, the hardcore collectors that we envy have all the luck. They have the protos we all drool over and wish we could have. As I learned last year, most are not for sale, but rather for trade only. Now if that doesn't get ya going...... How are we going to get them to trade if we cant buy them.......

Anyway, my question to you all: What games are you planning on bringing to trade with in Vegas? I have about 20 carts (plus Polo's) I am bringing, ranging from 5 rarity to Waterworld. Just seeing what the group is thinking.

:) Getting excited about the show! :)

Well...unfortunately, I myself really don't have any VCS trade bait that any of the hard core collectors would want. I may bring a few carts along for the celebrities to sign but otherwise I am bringing as little as possible. I am mainly going to see what of the exclusives I can come home with...and to meet everyone and generally have a good time at the show.

I will be bringing some trade bait, but I really haven't had time to go through my collection and dupes to put together accurate trade/want lists. So I'll just grab the most interesting items I have for trade, shove them in a box and hope they fit in the cargo van I'm driving to Vegas. I doubt I'll have time to actively seek out trades, but I will have my tradebait at our booth. I'll also probably bring a few titles for authors to sign. :)

Yeah the DX is nice, but I've never seen one in the wild. It's hard to imagine they actually could build it to be even heavier, but the empty space is nice to hold the disks.

I've always thought the C-64 was a great classic gaming machine, and bringing it there may give someone else a chance to use it a bit more than me, as well as get me some funds to spend at the show, (or to save to get my ultimate-a full size Battlezone machine-but that's a different thread.)

I've toyed with the idea of bringing my Atari Age collection to the show as well, but since I've had them from kid-hood, I don't think I could part with them. Heck, some still have my original mailing labels on them.....too bad I couldn't convince mom to let me get 2-3 dozen quadruns though...

You can get some by participating in the Great Dig Dug Drop on Sunday afternoon at 3 pm.

There will be at least 3 protos offered as prizes. :)

I don't want to bring too much stuff, so I'm bringing just a few rares, including: Chuckwagon, Waterworld, Gravitar (silver), Crazy Climber, Rubiks, Guardian, Dukes, Texas CM, Music Machine, Miner II, QBErt Qubes, and Atlantis II (a real one).

I also have a Combat cartridge that is labled "Game Lab", which has a chip with dimples - I need some help figuring out if it's something special.

If you see something you like, my collection list is at bloatedmonkey.com. We can set up a trade beforehand if you'd like.

By the way, I plan on winning big at Blackjack and buying every game at the show. Just letting you all know, so you don't get your hopes up.
