Atari2600Lives
Has anyone else had a chance to play with this thing? It brings 10 Activision games in one hand held controller. I bought a couple today at Radio shack for $19.99 the games are as follows: Pitfall Atlantis Spider Fighter crackpots Boxing Tennis Freeway Ice Hockey River Raid Grand prix It's one small controller playstation type controller, and simply plugs into your tv. (4 AA batteries power it so there is no extra cord). Extremely portable and takes 2 seconds to plug in and start playing. Here is my mini review: The games look very sharp and the game play is Atari 2600. The only differences are slight variations here and there for example. The Pitfall vines do not quite look the same. The sounds are 95% accurate but some sound a bit different (but not enough to detract from the game play). The ultimate test was my 4 year old and his 7 year old cousin. They spent the afternoon playing it and thought it was very, very cool. (they are used to X-box and Nintendo Cube). I recommend it for anyone that has any interest in Activision and /or Atari and does not want to drag the console to the family room to get a quick 2600 fix.
