robcatron Posted February 12, 2008 Share Posted February 12, 2008 Hey all, Not sure if there is anyone on that would have some spare Atari STE parts. I have a 4 meg 520STE. The 3.5" drive went bad back before I stored it away some time ago. I actually took a drive (with the long flat eject button) from a STF and the top part of the STF case to make a "hybrid." If I remember correctly (and I cannot find my original STE top case piece to confirm) the STE drive had the little trapezoidal-looking eject button. I dusted it off and would like to get 'er going back in her original state. I need a 520STE case (top piece) and the correct 3.5" drive that fits in it. Myatari has them, but wants WAAAAAAY too much for it all ($170 or so) which is just sillly - be better off just picking up a whole used computer off of eBay. I guess a 1040STE case top would work - but I would like the top and bottom case to match.
