Nognir
Hey! As I'm working on some Intellivision stuff (not a new game sorry ^^) I was searching for a Font which is used for the name of the game on the Box. I thought it is Arial Black, but it's not nearly the same. Does anyone have any clue or a hint of a font which nearly look like the one they used on the boxes? It looks like Helvetica Neue 95 Black. you have to manually adjust the kerning on each letter though to get it to look like the INTV boxes. Here's Nightstalker in that font over the box graphic. Nognir
Thank you very much! Unfortunately I don't have this Font so I need to search for it. At least I know what to search for. thanks!
A.J. Franzman
I was searching for a Font which is used for the name of the game on the Box. I thought it is Arial Black, but it's not nearly the same. Of course it isn't; Arial was brand new (and practically unknown) when those games came out! It was created in 1982 as Sonoran San Serif, but did not become ubiquitous until after 1992 when Microsoft started including it with their operating systems in TrueType format. For future reference: Identifont can identify fonts by asking you a series of questions about various details of the letter shapes. If you only have a small set of letters, you can input them so it will only ask you about those letters. WhatTheFont identifies fonts from your uploaded images. Edited March 5, 2008 by A.J.
