This is something I would like to know for many years now:

Do Beat'Em & Eat'Em and Bachelor Party on the NTSC PlayAround double-enders really have the Mystique logo on screen?

Can someone please verify this for me by checking the real carts?

Exactly what I feared.

So there are no PlayAround games with the Mystique logo on screen?

If that's really the case, then we still need proper dumps of the NTSC PlayAround versions of Beat'Em & Eat'Em and Bachelor Party.

Would be great, Rick.

Although Beat'Em & Eat'Em and Bachelor Party are the ones I find most doubtful.

BTW: this Mystique ROM dump makes the whole "Mystique sold the rights to PlayAround" and "PlayAround was formed from the ashes of Mystique" story quite unstable to say the least:

I think Mystique just changed its name into PlayAround (hence the name PlayAround?) to get some pressure off and continued selling 'adult' games.

It's exactly the same company.

The JHM initials on the PlayAround carts simply stand for Joel H. Martin, the man behind Mystique.

In Phoenix, I wrote:

"American Multiple Industries wound up selling its rights to the games to another company, Playaround. This company released Beat ‘Em & Eat ‘Em and Bachelor Party along with three other titles but decided against selling Custer’s Revenge."

I believe Joel H Martin (who I met at CES in 1982--after the name was changed), bought the company (with the help of investors) from AMI. What probably wasn't included in the sale was the Mystique name and the Swedish Erotica license.

Found this info:

Former AMI (Mystique) president Stewart Kesten's partner, Joel Martin, formed PlayAround after AMI sold the rights to its games to a company called Game Source, who then sold them to PlayAround.

So the partner of the owner of AMI took over the rights of the company and changed its name.

That's what I call 'playing around'.

And it also explains why there are Mystique labeled carts with PlayAround logo games in them.

BTW: PlayAround did sell Custer's Revenge:
