bcprs1
Starting with the second round, I am running a contest for the rest of the NHL playoffs. The contest is simply to give your predictions for the quarterfinals, semi-finals and finals. Points will be awarded as follows: Quarterfinals - 1 point Semi- 2 points Stanley Cup- 4 points Rules: 1. Once the first round is over, I will post all the matchups for the quarterfinals. Once I do that, you can start posting your predictions. 2. You can make edits up to when the puck drops at the start of the first Quarterfinal game. Any edits made after that and you will be disqualified. 3. Winner is whoever gets the most points. Tie breakers will be determined by the number of total goals scored during the Stanley Cup finals. Whoever comes closest to the total. (this is not like the price is right, you can go over the total). If still tied, winner drawn from a hat. 4. I am going to give an example post to show what I want your guesses to look like. 5. Winners get to choose between some really good stuff. Valued at around $20- $30 6. Contest is open to everyone. Here is a link to the last time I ran this back in 2007. 2007 Stanley Cup Playoffs Contest Edited June 6, 2008 by bcprs1

phaxda
QF1: Montreal QF2: Pittsburgh QF3: Detroit QF4: San Jose SF1:Pittsburgh SF2: San Jose SC: San Jose (in 5) Total Goals: 22 I really thought the B's had a chance. Sad to see them go out in 7, but if you're thinking about next year it really looks like they might have something good going. Unless horrible management and ownership manage to f it up again. Wish the Caps had made it in too--I love watching Ovechkin.

aftermac
QF1: MontrealQF2: New York QF3: Detroit QF4: Dallas SF1: Detroit SF2: Dallas SC: Dallas total goals: 25 Are you predicting a Dallas - Detroit rematch in the Stanley Cup Finals? It's a long-shot, but if this scenario plays out you will be the undisputed winner. Maybe you could take Barry Melrose's job. I hate that bastard. Omegamatrix
AJ, Detroit and Dallas are both in the western conference so they could never play each other in the Stanley Cup Final. Semifinal, yes.
tremoloman2006
I really thought the B's had a chance. Sad to see them go out in 7, but if you're thinking about next year it really looks like they might have something good going. Unless horrible management and ownership manage to f it up again. Wish the Caps had made it in too--I love watching Ovechkin. I'm from Boston and a huge Bruins fan... this years playoffs were a taste of what the 70s and 80s brought. Now if Jeremy Jacobs would only sell the team, THEN we could have a real contender. Bob Kraft, are you listening? I became a San Jose Sharks fan ever since they knocked off Detroit in 1994. With Thornton and McLaren on the team, it's like cheering for the B's a little bit.
A.J. Franzman
I don't follow sports, I just play AA contests when I can.

aftermac
I think this one's gonna come down to who wins the Cup! I was just thinking the same thing. Detroit's up 4-0 on Dallas right now, so it looks like the Stars are about done. So, it looks like it's between me and you, Brett!
