Beta users needed for DOS cartridge...

I ported Atari DOS to a cartridge. I just got tired of waiting for DOS to

load each time I booted the computer. Now, just plug the cartridge

in, turn the machine on, and DOS loads in less than one second.

I need a few people to test the cartridge. I would like people who

use all of the different function of DOS to test this for me. Email me

and let me know if you are interested and I will send you a cartridge

to test. The final version will be finished late next week.

Yes, you get to keep the cartridge FREE!! :)

Thanks,

Mark

Anything that optimizes the Atari computers is certainly worth trying, if I had a Dos cart I would probably use it often especially if it loaded up faster than the normal disk access. Should be fun trying it out with programs on the 1050 and my sio2pc cable. Maybe I could organize my 20 year old Home Filing manager lists and recipe cards more efficently ;)

Id be happy to test if you need some more folks.

One thing I would ask is that if you're using DOS 2.5 auto config it to support 4 drives vs the 2 out of the box - maybe also have verify turned of for faster disk copying :)

I am using DOS 2.05, that is the one I like the best. Once tested,

any DOS version can be formated for the cartridge.
