Krytol
I KNOW this has to be on AA somewhere, but searching revealed nothing. I thought I recalled seeing this. I just finished watching The King of Kong for the first time; Billy Mitchell said his were USA (Not TIE). He refered to them as something other than "initials" however. But that's what we called them. Brian Kuh said his were BRI. Mine were M B. What were yours? (Besides POO and ASS)?
Tempest
MRR (my initials) or MIA (because I was never truly dead) if I was being cute. Tempest
Krytol
MRR (my initials) or MIA if I was being cute. Tempest M (blank) B is what I'd put; for some reason I was such a little punk that I hated the middle name my parents gave me so much that I'd just put a blank in. Some games wouldn't let you do that if I recall. I remember putting in M.B on certain games.

Krytol
There was this pizza shop back in the heyday next to my parents' house that actually had a foreign Donkey Kong where you could actually spell out things. They weren't supposed to have that, right?
+LS650
Being how I was 12 years old when I visited the arcade regularly, my initials were often something along the lines of FUK or ASS.
Krytol
I remember getting pissed and just slamming the fire button and putting AAA
Chickybaby
LMAO @ ls650! I usually used ANA or ANN. There was a convenience store on the way home from school as a kid that had a few cabs. I miss going to arcades and have spent a lot of money over the years in them. On the way to a vid game expo I had to stop at my favorite service plaza on the turnpike that I knew had Galaga. Those buggers are now charging $1 to play although something was broken and I had unlimited replays, lol. I can't go past an arcade without playing something. +Sauron
I always used my first name, TIM. My younger brother always had to use ASS, and I think he still does to this day.
shadow460
Either JMH or AAA. once in a while you might see 460. If anyone here has been to Aladdin's Castle in Lynnhaven Mall, you'd have seen best times with initials of JMH and KMH right beside each other. That wasn't a typo on my part...my ex's initials were only one letter different than mine. you could tell whose was whose--hers had Tidal Blade as the boat and sometimes Tinytanic, IIRC. Mine had either Banshee, Chumdinger, or (most likely) Blowfish as the boat. If I miss getting the top score on games like Gyruss or Raiden, but I get on the board, many times I'll just hit AAA if I play to play some more. Atari5200
to this day I still use ASS I noticed on some games though, like some MVS carts, if you just hit AAA it reverts it to SNK, what if you actually had AAA for initials, you'd be screwed. +FujiSkunk
PKK if I get only three letters, SKUNK if I get five or more letters. Unsolved mystery: Instead of AAA, some games will set the default initials to those that were entered the last time. Marble Madness does this... I think. Once I played MM, got on the high score list and signed my initials, and then let someone else play. He also got on the high score list, starting from AAA. Once he left, I played again. I got on the high score list again, and was presented with... PKK. The game knows me! Edited June 12, 2008 by skunkworx
kroogur
My initials also spell my first name ( thanks dad ) so i use TIM or just AAA if my score wasn't to impressive.
