Atari Club Games

Newbie here...

I have heard that there were four games issued thru the Atari Club with three of them being Quadrun, Waterworld, and Crazy Climber.  Does anyone know what the fourth one was?  Thanks for the help.

I guess there were five. Someone already pointed out Gravitar. But there was also the Atari Video Cube.

Didn't know that one was a club game.  After poking around, I actually just have the red label Gravitar, not the silver one.  Damn, something else to poke around on EBay for.

you just missed a silver Gravitar

auction it ended yesterday (39.00 cart only)

Take Care,

Rick

Aren't Atari Video Cube and Rubic's Cube the same game?

Yes, it was later renamed. First it was called Atari Video Cube. Later it was released again under a diffrent number and name as Rubik's Cube.

I don't know the story between Rubik's Cube and the Atari Video Cube. All I know is that it was the Atari Video Cube that was offered through the Atari Game Club. It was never offered under the Rubik's name through the club.

Hey, was "Crazy Climber" ever offered for retail sale? I remember reading in AtariAge that "it will be at least six months untill this game is availible in stores but AtariAge members can get it now" (or something close to that). Did it ever hit the shelves or was the plan a victim of the crash / Tremmels?

There's only 4 AA exclusive titles:

Atari Video Cube

Crazy Climber

Gravitar

Quadrun

Matty has it right. Atari Video Cube was an AA exclusive, and later released (to the public) as Rubik's Cube. It was never available through AA as Rubik's Cube.

Gravitar was the only other title I believe that was later released to the public (years later).

Swordquest Waterworld was not an exclusive title.

Thanks, Scott!

You know what, you're right. I went with my Dad as a wee lad and also brought my friend along. My Dad said they had a lot of games for cheap. I walked away with Video Cube and he walked away with (I am 99% certain) the silver label Gravitar, which I also did not know was a club exclusive. Back then, you didn't throw around $1.99 too lightly, or I would have purchased both! (I later inherited his Gravitar, Crazy Climber and extra Video Cube to make the happey ending). If I only knew then what I know now.

Apparently they didn't make enough boxes for Atari Video Cube, when I got mine "back in the day" it came in a Dodge 'Em box...for 99 cents.

Dodge 'Em box, Dodge 'Em instruction manual...Atari Video Cube cartridge. At the time I was so mad, because I wanted Dodge 'Em!!!! Now I have 6 Dodge 'Em's, and I want Atari Video Cube!!!!!!!!!
