AtariLeaf
Thanks Apollo. I've bought from Mike before. Not sure why I forgot to email him but I have and he does have a few carts available so hopefully I can make a deal with him. Quick question: Berzerk never officially made it onto a cart? And is Zaxxon a cart or cassette only game? Where can I get an official list of 8-bit carts. I don't want to get into collecting cassettes or disks. (Hmmm. I guess that's 3 questions )
djpubba
DigitPress.com and AtariMania.com both have 8bit lists. I saw a super secret link to a beta list here too that the mods should mod if they don't want posted. XD http://www.atariage.com/software_list.html?SystemID=800 Runs. Zaxxon is available as cart, disk or cassette. Cart list: http://www.atarimania.com/lst_soft-MENU-8-...ION_CART-1.html

video game addict
Berzerk was not released on cart, but there is a prototype. But it is being sold on cart unofficially by myatari? on ebay. It's readily available, just not an original release. Zaxxon cart is a hard one to get the others are all fairly common. I have some listed on ebay this week, can ship First class mail international which if pretty reasonable. If you're interested I'm user atari* on ebay. djpubba
You can find a lot of 8bit "bootlegs" on eBay. Even ones of games that were fairly common releases, like Crystal Castles and Track & Fields, so watch out if you're looking for an original. AtariLeaf
I'm getting a few through Mike at Collectors Cards and Games so I've crossed them off my initial post. Hopefully whats left is fairly easy to come by. I was in a shop today that has some retro games and noticed some loose 8-bit games like bug hunt and flight simulator and a few others. One interesting one was called the Princess and the Frog. This store just moved from another location and I thought I remember seeing an Atari XE a few months back. They still have to unpack some things in their store so I'm hoping they still have it.

That's a pretty rare game. If it has the box, it's very rare. If they have any other A8 games by Romox, none of them is common, and all are worth getting hold of unless the prices are silly. AtariLeaf
I'll check the price when I go back this weekend. It didn't have a price tag on it, unless I missed it, so I'll ask. Its just loose though, no box or manual.
djpubba
That's funny you saw one of those in a little shop. There's a little comic shop near me that carries retro games too and he told me I had just missed a Princess and Frog for Atari 8bit by like an hour. AtariLeaf
*bump* I picked up a copy of Parasite Eve for the PS1, two cd's and the bonus FF VIII demo Cd, case included but no instructions. I could offer it in trade for one or more of the games on my list. Thanks
AtariLeaf
I made a deal today that will cross Ms Pacman, Robotron, and River Raid, and Tennis off the list. Still looking for a select few or, whatever else is out there. Edited November 23, 2008 by AtariLeaf
