Show us your strange pirate cards

Hi everybody,

as I will move to a nice little new home next days, I have to pack my collection (What a damn work, but I had friend´s help). While doing this, many of my stuff from the rear parts of the shelves came into my hands and I had a lot of fun looking at and packing them. So I decided to pick out some unusual pirate stuff and make pics of it.

Here are some of my beloved strange pirate games. Please enjoy and add pictures of your strange pirate-stuff. I would love to look at yours and have so much fun as I had when I "discovered" mine.

Info for Rom Hunter (not only for him, but he asked for):

From the japanese "Choplifter"-cards, the following exist:

Basketball

Bowling

Boxing

Cosmic

Enduro

Exocet

Grand Prix

Laser Gate

Pole Position

River Bomb

Snooker

Soccer

Space Robot

Strategy X

Tennis

Volleyball

Voyage

BTW: there is no Atari2600-Choplifter version on any of them :(

Trust me: my heart stood still as I found the first of them.

Great to see some off the road carts here.

Jens,

If you have time to scan the Puzzy Phantom Tank and Sea Monster, please let me know.

Also, could you make a nice scan of one of the Choplifter front labels?

Yes, I know.

Would be great if Jens could make nice scans of the following boxes:

Pac Kong (Action Hi-Tech)

Krieg der Sterne (Taiwan PGP233)

Pet Boat box

Air Bone Assault (Taiwan Cooper Black)

Basis-Angriff

Let's wait and see what comes out of the river...

Love to see more SpaceVision cart scans.

Their artwork is not very well known, but excellent IMO.

i actually have one that directly says activision but has the spacevision case and typical graphics (second picture on the bottom) ... they didn't even bother to change the name ... maybe that one wasn't intended for international export so they didn't care :P

i wish that blogger where i found the red pengo-style cart pictures would have answered my emails. i'd love to get more details about those taiwanese games ... and about the market back then ... this was also where the article about bit corp / pu se was posted ...
