Wanted: Nintendo Power collection

Well, if you include the Fun Clubs in there (especially the first two), I'm going to have to go with something around $500. There are approximately 67 issues of NP covering the last official appearance of anything about the NES.

Wow, good deal there! I really don't want to part with mine anyway. Mine run from the first issue to roughly 67 straight with no breaks (that's the last issue the NES had any coverage in). If you took out the Fun Clubs I could probably go $150 on them.

I'm not sayin yours is a bad deal. Just that *troll alert* eastbayarb appears not to like my offer (the reason I got these down from the attic and sorted them... several hours work for my wife, myself, and one of my kids)... I can't even get the courtesy of a "NO" from my PMs. So I guess Mr. "not a penny less", doesn't want to play nice. He was in no way obligated to take what I had to offer, but communication shouldn't suffer just because it isn't what you wanted, or cheap enough. Just my two cents.

Yeah, I feel that. I hate when I go to the trouble of digging something out, especially if it's big to only get a PM asking about it and then no response after that. Takes like two seconds to respond. That price for the amount you had is good. It's nearly impossible to get that many for that price and getting a straight run from the first issue is not cheap either. If you throw in the Fun Clubs, should be insane enough to want them, you're looking at a very expensive purchase.

I just found my old NP collection. I started with the last of the old Nintendo newsletters and went up through the SNES with a few into the N64 era (never had one back then so I stopped buying them after awhile). Unfortunately many of them (especially the older ones) have their covers ripped off due to the stupid magazine holders I used back then (they snagged the covers unless you were careful) and since I was just a kid I really didn't care. Still, the bulk of them are still in good shape. I doubt they're worth much though, because people who collect them want them in mint condition (I know I would).

Just because I don't respond to every PM doesn't make me a "troll". I have posted in many different forums and craigslist and someone on craigslist responded with a 180 issue deal for $75 and they are local. At this point it's all about the best deal, not the first.

No... my speaking my mind and getting grumpy in the forum makes me a troll. I was referring to myself. If you want to label yourself and the shoe fits.... though...

Like I said, you had no obligation to buy, I get shopping around for a good deal... but it wouldn't hurt you to actually say "NO" instead of dangling someone with no reply one way or another after two PMs asking if you did or did not want them. I'm not upset you didn't buy. I'm upset that you left it hanging with no answer.

In defense of Arb, I've met him in person and he's a really cool guy who even gave me some extra stuff for free. :) Sorry it didn't work out!
