Alone in your "firebase" machine you face malevolent denizens of this realm. Enraged by your presence they unfold their leathery wings and with shrieking cry come at you intent to turn you into dust. Pull down on your "control grip" to activate your shields in order to repel their attack. But be wise in its use since it only has 15 seconds of energy before it needs to recharge. The ebon citadel sits high upon the blasted mountainside. It is home to the dark lord himself. To get your chance against him you must first defeat enough of his minions in order to construct a bridge over the roiling waters of the river Styx. I have seen it mentioned a few times but I do not have it listed in my price guide.

Not that I am aware of but I''m certain one of the talented people on the forums here could easily make one. Alternately, you can use an Atarimax flash cart to play on the actual 5200 as well. RangerG
43,900 The stock controller seems pretty good for this game (except you got to push the top fire button a lot).

doctorclu
i boycott on the grounds that this is not an atari 5200 cart Hmmmm... kinda limits the high score thread. Do what I do prior to getting the Atarimax flash, just play on emulation for this term. (I would play on the Dreamcast Atari800, if you have a Dreamcast I can help give instructions on how to set that up.) One day when we play Bounty Bob Strikes Back I will have probably have to use my Dreamcast again, since that is the only game that does not work on the Atarimax flash cart. In support of Satan's Hollow, fun game, glad it was ported to the 5200 because it fits the quality library of the 5200 very well. My opening score... 36,

+Cafeman
I had no familiarity with this game until now. You don't start to get the high scores until you get a lot of flags on the castle, then defeat satan. I think you get 1,000 points for each flag (and each black flag represents 10 flags). My strategy is to ignore building the bridge and just shooting the enemies until there are at least 5 flags on the castle. On waves with the red birds (which drop bombs) and/or the little men which drop bombs which stick around at ground level, they become my top priority. Shoot like crazy until those guys are gone. Then I can proceed with building the next bridge, using whatever enemies are left. One unique thing that I didn't realize at first - you can move when your shield is activated. Thus you can get past busy areas at screen bottom to a safe spot, if you are careful. Also, on the waves where the enemies form a column and descend , you can activate the shield and get under them, shooting like crazy and clearing them all out before the shield runs out of juice. Another thing I don't understand completely - sometimes you have more on-screen shots. Is this a power-up ? I keep feeling like I should be able to score better but usually I die several times with piddly scores. Gotta be more careful.

I'm not certain if it's intended or not but it does seem like, occasionally, you can have a stream of bullets flying through the air.
NoahsMyBro
I noticed that as well, and thought you got more allowed shots on-screen on higher levels, but I wasn't sure.
