In fact, we made our best to fit the entire game in a 32K cartridge (wich was impossible) .. we try

So we turn ourself to the MegaCart, wich was a good idea BTW
We end-up with a 64K Rom size with all the Arcade features, intermissions/credit system etc.  :D

I'm very happy/proud of the result, at least for a ColecoVision game ;)

Great work Retroillucid!  Guess it there wasn't a way to make the enemies multicolored?

Count me in on the list of pre-orders if there is one! ;)

Looks very nice. Is this Megacart some sort of extra add-on?

Well... I've plan to add some Extra Levels, but time was a little up
Here's a level that was supposed to be included

I assumed the meaning of the question to be "Is this Megacart a regular sort of cartridge that I can plug in and play or is there some other external hardware that must be added to my console?"

Doh! ... Sorry

You don't need any external or add-on device to play this game on ColecoVision
Only the cartridge's PCB is different than usual one (like the PixelPast PCBs)

So yes, it's plug % play cartridge  :)

Here's the sound test for Mario Bros

Note that we use the NES version for Music/SFX

Enjoy!  :)

Turtles in underwear!  I demand turtles in underwear!

Er... sorry.  Looks pretty good so far.  The enemies are already more detailed than their NES counterparts, which is impressive on a system like the ColecoVision.  Now just add those turtles in their underwear and it'll be perfect!

I could live with that.  I remember getting so pissed when I played the NES version and they took that animation out.  Not only did they turn the enemies into plainly drawn shrinky-dinks, they took away the humorous touch that gave the turtles such personality!

I'm going way off topic now, but how come we didn't get the re-released "classic series" version of the game for the NES?  I was thrilled when I first discovered the ROM - it probably gets played more than just about anything else on my Powerpak.  :)

...

Back on topic..  I haven't bought any games for a while, but this one and Opcode's DK have me drooling all over myself!  Cheers!

Heh, that was a great conversion!  It was so close to the arcade game (right down to the turtles in underwear!) it was ridiculous.  Makes you wonder why Nintendo didn't bother to do it right the first time.

If this is gonna be a cart only release, think you could make a video of the gameplay and slap it on youtube?
