2 worthy video game podcasts

Listening to "Emulate This" where they talk about Oregon Trail. It's about 10% cuss words, with a trio of bro-ish hosts. Morning zoo crew radio hosts aren't this obnoxious.

I enjoyed it. I listened to the Link to the Past episode. Yes, there's a lot of cursing, but I talk like that too, so I don't mind. It did seem like a morning zoo, but it got less zooish as the episode went on. Or maybe I got used to it, I don't know. :)

Yeah, I enjoy Emulate This for the most part. I don't mind F-bombs, but I'd prefer if they make them count rather than use them so indiscriminately, which is annoying. And when they all start yelling over each other for 10 seconds straight, it can be tough on the ears. All in all a good podcast, though.

Considering who they have on their now, I could care less. They lost me as a listener when they added that scumbag, and I'm shocked Shinto used him as a source in a recent Jaguar podcast.

I tend to take every source with a grain of salt, and try to double-check cited facts if at all possible. Some things don't pass the smell test and therefore don't make it into the podcast. I know of whom you speak, and I have openly disagreed with some of his conclusions in the past, but when he includes quotes from people who worked at the companies related to whichever game I'm covering, I'd be remiss not to include it as a reference.

Not gaming related but holy shit, Stuck in the 80s latest podcast takes 15 minutes to get to the content.

Yeah they talk about the 80's cruise too much. Maybe that's how the podcast is getting their support so they have to promote it. That podcast is basically a music only podcast, but it has it's moments.

Rcade Radio is an entertaining, professionally & locally produced (by AtariAge member Madaracs) arcade gaming podcast featuring a high-end guest nearly every show. Thought I'd push this particular episode since Tim made quite a splash on Atariage with his past book announcement.

Every other Thursday @7pm CST they record an episode for future release & have a fun Live Chat on YouTube. Join them won't you?

SoCal Mike STILL lives on in Retrogaming Roundup Segments. Not in the soundbytes recorded years ago, but in recorded segments.

Funny to hear Willie notice it a while back. "who the f was that!??"

I think the bigger questions are:

1. Why is he still on there?

2. Who is supporting him being on?

3. How can anyone believe what he says anymore?

He's not on there now, they played a clip from the 3 of them discussing David Crane's Kickstarter from years back. I'm guessing the clip was never in the show before, sounds like behind the scenes. I think Scott and UKMike are really just sticking it to him now, but I don't know for sure. As bad as what SoCalMike did was, I really enjoyed him on the podcast.
