I knew it was coming up for Shinto, but I figured it would be weeks before his episode was out. icon_wink.gif

You're right, both of you announced it in advance, right? Duh me. But yeah, this was a quick turnaround for Shinto. icon_smile.gif

You know, I'm actually surprised when I get an episode out the door, too. That said, I've just got some finishing touches to do on Troy Aikman NFL Football and will have that episode published within the next day or two, which is super fast for me.

In other news, a new Nintendo 64 podcast released their first episode a couple days ago. What I've been able to gather about the show I put up at n64.gamebygamepodcast.com.

The other N64 podcast I had listed, Strictly 64, may be dead now since their website and Twitter account both went dark.

Hmm no mention of my Blue Lightning errata on the latest Lynx handicast? OK.

I'm 2/3 thru the Electrocop episode, & no mention of the alternate cover art that makes the President's daughter look hotter on later releases?

Well I'll take this over the trickle of episodes that is the XEGS Cart by Cart podcast

The Virtual Bart episode of Retronauts had a funny end-of-episode commercial: one for Summer's Eve douche. I thought that was funny.

Reminds me of the SNL sketch where Michael Jordan does an advert for Summer's Eve.

CF here,

My Podcast, (Tiger Claw Radio) was discussed in the first few pages a bit on this topic all those years ago. At that time, I had to abandon it because my son was just born. TCR has been up and running weekly for the last year plus, only missing one week when Magfest happened.

Only a handful of people actually listen these days, but I'm still at it. On the air since 2009.

I've been emulating the British Acorn Atom computer after hearing about it on Randy Kindig's Floppy Days podcast. It's a 6502-based machine with some very interesting features including inline assembly language built into the BASIC interpreter. Here's a short example:

(Add two 16 bit values together using low/high bytes)

10 DIM P(-1)
20[
30 LDA #80
40 CLC
50 ADC #82
60 STA #84
70 LDA #81
80 ADC #83
90 STA #85
100 RTS
110]
120 END

You assemble it by typing "RUN", then enter the input values as hexadecimals (the BASIC implementation has conversions back and forth):

?#80=#8C; ?#81=#00
?#82=#96; ?#83=#00

They you type, " LINK TOP" to run it...

This seems like a very nice way to "ease into" 6502 Assembler from a BASIC language starting point.

It was nice to hear Vipp, the voice of retrogaming podcasts, guest on Ten Pence Arcade. Last I heard him,it was only in the form of soundbytes(Retrogaming Roundup).

...or on just about every episode of Intellivisionaries (pitched down slightly, and 'in character' of course).

;-)
