2 worthy video game podcasts

I admit that I've never understood the occasional whining about podcasts that are "too long." How can you have too much of something that you enjoy listening to? The Pause and Stop buttons allow for later resumption if you wish, and Fast-Forward allows you to skip sections that you're not interested in. I wonder if some guys just try to "get all of the current podcasts listened-to," instead of actually enjoying what they're hearing in the moment, which is, y'know, kind of the whole point.

Classic Console Gamernews Episode 15 - Computers on Cassette Sitcom Special has just been released.

WARNING: Don't listen to this one with headphones/earbuds on. Just don't. You have been warned. This one gets strange.

Listening in the car right now (sue me!). Your Atari 8-bit cassette loading example is pitch-shifted way too high. Maybe that's because it was from an emulator. Here's what it actually sounds like:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5RLQV49ew8M

Interesting. Yeah, I'm more than betting I took it from an emulator export.

It's been a while guys! Just wanted to post the new episode. It was pretty unique in that it was mostly just myself and Vic from Ten Pence Arcade talking about obscure arcade games. It also gave me a nice excuse to play the Chubby Checker version of "Dig Dug" in an episode along with an obscure Space Invaders song. I even threw in an easter egg if someone listens to one of those songs close enough...

I enjoyed the episode, Aaron. You really seem to know your UK retro games. Missed the Easter Egg though... Hmmm...

I should have heeded your warning. I'm extremely sensitive to shrill, high-pitch noise. So, of course, on go the headphones and up went the volume. I can take it, right? How rough can it be?

Ugh.... After a time, I realized I was curled up in a ball on the floor of my dining room weeping like my youngest. She walked up to me, shook her head, said something like, "What a wuss," and wandered off. She's only 2. I gave up then.

I'm kidding, mostly. It was a good episode that I did listen through. Something I can let my oldest hear for historical purposes. "This is how we used to do it before SD cards and...well, lots of other stuff."

Truthfully, I had to think about & sleep on this one.

I wrote back on page 80 here when I listed my subbed podcasts, that RL isnt doing anything wrong or bad or differently, though they do have some new contest going on (that Im not interested in). I've been subbed since their 1st show & just find them getting stale.

Jungle Rat Rob is always STILL playing Terraria (sp?) or going on about KOF or D&D, & mentioning/plugging Cartoon Retrocast, which I know I couldnt stand listening to due to the host. Rob's Game of the Week segment always drags on; he discusses his game too extensively. & his "funny" stories, arent. Their last few eps just didnt grab me, & that's like an hr+ per show. It turns imto "blah blah blah" to me. Recently he was talking about anime & I thought "I might've paid attention to this 20 yrs ago" back when I was very briefly interested in it.

In their favor, they did interview No Swear Gamer, that was interesting. I share his views on swearing, he was dead-on. But he's YouTube-centric, not sure his content could fill a podcast, his presentation is more visual.

I'm surprised that entire subreddit wasn't removed after gamergate. That is probably the closest we will get to that topic though. It's just toxic all around.

Oh if you want a gamer version, there's /r/kotakuinaction which makes you hate journalism in gaming even more. Really, Depression Quest is on Steam?
