The of the very first production Harmony carts will be in the hands of users shortly, so this is time for a new BIOS release. Production Harmony carts come with 1.03 BIOS installed.

This BIOS also works with any preproduction or prototype Harmony carts.

Changes include:

* Fix for directory truncation bug

* 7800 pause button to stop colour cycling

* PAL 7800 console fix (those with the built-in Asteroids game will fail to detect Harmony and run Asteroids)

* AUTORUN file support

* Support for production Harmony carts

* File extension forcing now works

* Improved paddle handling in main menu

If you are using a production Harmony cart, you must use this BIOS (or any newer BIOS as they are released.) Do not install any older BIOS on a production Harmony cart as it won't work properly.

I wonder,is there any Pal 7800 System without ASTEROIDS built in?

I have many 7800 systems, but no Pal system without ASTEROIDS.So the new BIOS does not work??????

It means that this issue is fixed with the 1.03 bios. This was a problem with earlier bios versions. The harmony now works fine with pal 7800 consoles.

Hi Guys

I found a manual and i tried to update my Harmony.First i connected my Harmony with the PC.The SD cars was seperate connected too.I downloaded the Eloader to my Harmony.

And i copied the new Bios to my SD card.I tried both versions,Pal 50 and 60. :(

None worked on my Pal system. When i start my Pal console,ASTEROIDS appears.

Here is the current manual, formatted for online viewing. Read the section on firmware updating.

Can you let me know:

  1. Which version of the Harmony do you have (prototype or production)?
  2. Is the BIOS update successful, or does it fail even to update the BIOS?
  3. Did the card work before you did the bios update?

Thanks,

Chris
