Easiest coin-op games

Since I asked which were the hardest games before, I was wondering which were the easiest for you? Meaning which games could you put a quarter in and play for awhile. Here is my list of the top 10 easiest coin-ops.

#1 Asteroids - I could and still can play for as long as my body will allow with 1 quarter.

#2 Matmania - Another game I could play for as long as my body was able to play w/ 1 quarter.

#3 Star wars - I can still play for close to an hour on 1 quarter.

#4 Punch-out - No problem getting close to a hour of playing time on one quarter.

#5 Scramble - Very easy to go thru two rounds.

#6 720 - Easy to finish, tough to get a record score or medal count.

#7 Centipede - Fairly easy to get a half hour playing for my quarter.

#8 Tron - I could usually get at least 7 levels before I die.

#9 Dragons Lair - After many quarters of learning, I was finally able to finish the game every time with my quarter

#10 Battlezone - I was never an expert, but I was usually able to get at least 20 mins. of play time with my quarter.

Yeah, Exerion was pretty easy.. Spectar was the antithesis of Targ. Targ was tough, Spectar was a walk in the park. Super Pac-Man is WAY easy. Kicker was very easy. I felt Bosconian was fairly simple.

I can play Galaga for quite a while. I can play almost all the way through Area 51 on one credit. The Ninja Turtles games are pretty easy if you just constantly jump kick (it's basically impossible to get hurt). Asteroids I definitely can NOT play for more than 5-10 minutes; it just takes one stray bullet or small asteroid that I need to dodge, and then I'm done for.

Oh and Dig Dug is easy to the point of being really boring for me. I never found any challenge in that game, and as a result, no fun, either.

Star Wars is definitely way too easy as well, which is unfortunate, because it had excellent graphics, sound, and gameplay.

The op may have had the difficulty for Dig Dug set to default or low. Try it(if you have access) on a higher setting, it has easy, medium hard and expert. most were set to medium.

I'll agree with you on Battlezone. Ho-hum that was boring. But I thought Scramble and 720 were hard!

There was another wrestling game, I can't remember the name, but I believe it was up to 4 players. My friend and I played it for hours without dying.

I could never win in "Matmania", and arcade "Punch-Out" is almost unplayable for me because I'm so used to the NES and SNES versions.

"DoDonPachi" is easy by Japanese vertical shmup standards. The game even rewards you for dying by giving you an extra bomb, so you can survive for a long time with your final ship by constantly bombing.

The challenge doesn't really kick in with "Yie Ar Kung Fu" until the last two guys. But then I dumped so many quarters into YAKF when I was a kid that everything was a breeze until Blues who was impossible.

I was normally able to get to Tonfun on Yie-Ar Kung Fu and then he would beat the living snot out of me. Only once on MAME without cheating did I get past him. Blues then proceeded to reduce me to a whining little puppy with a severely bruised ass.

Back in the mid-to-late '90s - when everything else that was worth playing at my nearest arcade cost either fifty cents, seventy-five or a dollar - I poured all my money into what eventually became my all-time favorite arcade game: Taito's Night Striker.

I got so good at it that I once beat it using a single token...

Also, when I was in college I nearly did the same with X-Men vs. Street Fighter, using Ken and Magneto - no losses (including the bonus "Here Comes a New Challenger!" round you get by being undefeated up until a certain point) until the second round against Apocalypse, during which I needed just a single hit to defeat him... which, sadly, never came.

I once played up to level 27 on a sped-up Ms. Pac-Man machine, too...

It's been years since I have played any arcade games but I considered Moon Cresta (actually, I usually played its "copy" version, Eagle) to be pretty easy at first. As I was never very good at arcade games, it was nice to play a game that I could reach the first "bonus" stage with very little problems.

Raiden DX, Daytona USA, Killer Instinct 2, Hydro Thunder, Time Crisis, Galaga, Gyruss, Virtual On: Operation Moongate, Manx TT Superbike... I think I've beaten all these that are beat-able on one credit at or near the highest difficulty. I've won the Expert course on Daytona USA many times. I've won Raiden DX's Mission Alpha on a single life, never mind how many credits were in the machine. I'm an expert marksman according to the US Navy, and accuracy is crucial in Time Crisis 1, so winning that was just a matter of time (no pun intended).

Manx TT Superbike was the hardest physically. I was walking funny and hurting several times after some marathon sessions on that thing. I didn't even sit on the seat that much, but the muscles inside my things were stiff and burning. I had to win KI2 on one credit just to see what happens to Fulgore. It gets harder if he kills Orchid and almost impossible if he subsequently kills Jago.

Virtual On is the one where you have to be fast. You gotta rip through the first five levels in about two and a half minutes or face the uber tough boss Jagurandi. Once you reduce Bal-Bas-Bow to scrap metal and send Jag back into his dream, Apharmd and Fei-Yen both require lots of fast dodging to beat. You can kinda chill vs Raiden as long as those twin lasers never hit you. Then it's off to Nirvana where each move has to be spot on accurate in order to win.

Gyruss speaks for itself, and so does Galaga except watching you ship in Galaga doesn't make you dizzy.

Mega Man Arcade. The first time i played this, I breezed through it on one credit.

Same thing with me here, me and my sibling beat this game at the arcade in Belmar, NJ. It is also on the MAME cabinet at the dentist's office.
