Intellivision Purchases and Deals

Being on Goodwill, expect to pay about 1.5 x ebay rate on them on top of processing fees. Hopefully they aren't sent all smashed up like so many of the things I've bought from them.

I have never had an issue with them. If you are one looking for A+ pristine boxes then don't bid. For those who are just trying to get some rares without paying $$$$$$ this is a great bargain.

REMEMBER IT IS FOR CHARITY. YOU ARE HELPING PEOPLE LESS FORTUNATE THAN YOU.

This is borderline bullshit political speak, yes someone always rails against THE CLINTONS and comparing very different organizations for no effective use other than BS. Not all charities are equal in action or results. Goodwill is not one of the better investments in charitable giving. Donate to them if you want.

Having almost died as a small child because the March of Dimes wouldn't help my help with a penicillin prescription for me after a bought with Rheumatic Fever (A drug I was on for 3 years - and it was not cheap then) you learn about charity. So I have been there and the charities were not. But I lived so I can rant. Wow, AA is like Facebook now!! Oh Boy! :-D

All charities are this way. Look at Hillary and the Clinton Foundation.

BUT SOME LESS FORTUNATE PEOPLE THAN YOU ARE STILL HELPED AND I PRAY IT NEVER HAPPENS TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY.

Others have already commented on the true "charitible" aspects of the organization so I'll just say that they beat me to the punch there.

As far as the items they ship, I don't expect pristine items. I expect them in the same condition they are shown in the auction listing, NOT stuffed in a box and bent in half in order to get things to fit. This has happened more than a few times when I've won auctions from them.

I do a fair amount of travel for business and one thing I do is visit flea markets, used video game stores and pawn shops.

Last trip to Texas I dropped in just at closing time , asked if he had any Intellivision games. Owner says he has just some sports titles mostly that most people aren't interested in. $5 bucks each.

Holy crap, I filled a few holes with this lot pretty cheaply.

Great find. That's easily $100-150 in games (eBay pricing).

$161 for Dig Dug? Am I missing something? Is this a rare variant.

No, it's Goodwill. I said before the auction had barely begun that it would sell for at least 1.5 x the eBay price. Not sure what drives bidders on Goodwill but prices consistently run high. Maybe the "charitable" aspect? Bidders on this site make little sense to me.

It depends on whether I need that Beamrider :)

Indeed ^^. Let me know. I bought both recently (didn't pay and received yet).

Someone please do a ROM dump of the prototype cart. It would be interesting to know whether it is different from the normal Beamrider.

I really don't know how to do...
