+save2600
ANY of the arcade classics (there's a ton of 'em): DK, Ms. Pac-Man, Omega Race, Sea Wolf, Wizard of Wor, etc. Pinball Construction Set Bomb Jack Commando Ghost Busters Giana Sisters Montezuma's Revenge One on One Star League Baseball Kickman Lode Runner Aliens Starflight Those should keep you busy for a while. Waaaaaaay too many awesome C64 games to be had, but these are all great for a "quick" fix.
Pyromaniac605
Commando Commando Libya (think thats what its called) looks more fun but probably because i like games with lots of blood and gore. eg. First time playing Fallout 3 "Die." *head explodes* -Darren-

You can say that its not part of Fallout but it is..Fountain of Dreams the second games is pushing it but I definatley consider them all of the Fallout/Wasteland world. They are are linked somehow...love them all so much. When you play them all you'll understand.

tyranthraxus
With nearly a decade of commercial viability the 64 has a pretty massive library, its tough to narrow it down! For me essential classics I'd recommend are: Space Taxi Jumpman/Jumpman Jr. Fort Apocalypse Seven Cities of Gold Impossible Mission Pirates! Paradroid Defender of the Crown Project Firestart Wasteland Pool of Radiance
potatohead
"Rad Warrior" I had versions to play for C64 and CoCo 3.

desiv
For me, it was Ultima IV... First RPG that was more than hunt or hack/slash. Really pulled me in... I spent a lot of time on that game. I appreciated a lot of the action games, but I wasn't any good at them. :-) desiv

Conan cool! I played that one, it is fun. Normally Bruce Lee steals the attention. Zorro I haven't got the hang of yet. Space Taxi is a classic... but I left it off my list as it becomes very difficult later in the game, and I get slightly tired of playing it? But it's a great game. Jumpman is excellent as well, Trolls and Trib.. never played but heard that title before... what's it about? what kinda game is that? Yeah Conan was actually really cool, I had a lot of fun playing it even with its slow down issues (when too many enemies are on the screen). Zorro is good too but its got more of a puzzle element to it (the caverns are tricky) which I liked. Trolls and Tribulations is a fantastic side-scrolling platformer. It was the game I was hooked on before Super Mario Brothers came out. That is one game that is a must have for me. I would rate it 5 out of 5 stars! BydoEmpire
I'm not sure how I'd pick my top 10. Nice to see some oddball stuff like Trolls & Tribulations mentioned - I always liked that one. Here's a few off the top of my head: Stuart Smith's Adventure Construction Kit Racing Destruction Set Beach Head Raid Over Moscow Summer/Winter/World/California Games Temple of Apshai (series) Jumpman/Jumpman Jr. Bard's Tale Dr. J vs. Larry Bird One-on-One Archon Lazarian (the only c64 game I have on cart)
tyranthraxus
Conan is a good one, although its funny how in the game Conan throws swords, kinda like the game was supposed to be another title but renamed when they got the license. It has some puzzle aspects to the levels that I like but I havn't been able to find a completely working rom of it, they all seem to crash in the higher levels. I'd also add Elite to my original list of favorites.
roberto
So many great games! Let's see, I'll keep it to a top 5, in no particular order: The Last Ninja The Way of Exploding Fist International Soccer Maniac Mansion Impossible Mission I and II Ok, let's make it 6 titles... For me it used to crash after the waterfall level I think or after the level with the flying dragons when it asks to swap disks.
