You have a very nice lot of some pretty special Intellivision items! The boxed ECS software is particularly notable, and the manuals for the ECS adapter don't seem to turn up often. The German Zaxxon (presumably PAL?) is also interesting, but I don't know about its value (or PAL/International Intellivision stuff generally). Bomb Squad and Space Spartans are nice, but not really game-changers, and Sea Battle and Atlantis are inconsequential. Tron Solar Sailor is interesting to collectors and relatively valuable.

I'd estimate its value at around $200 US, based on the Tomorrow's Heroes price guide. The games alone total to around $140 US. The guide doesn't list the ECS adapter or Music Synthesizer, but those typically go for ~$30 US each.

Game manuals and controller overlays increase the value of the games if you sell them individually, but in a lot like this they're more likely to serve only to entice bidders, rather than drive up the actual price of the lot (although I suppose motivated bidders can do that, can't they? :D ).

You should post this in the Marketplace forum. I'm sure someone here needs this stuff! I'd love to help you out myself (I need the ECS games and the Music Synth), but it's not in the cards for me right now. Otherwise, eBay or ChaseTheChuckwagon would be a good place to put it. :)

Good luck!

Thanks for the heads up, definitely more than I expected when i picked them up last week.

Got the whole bundle for $10 at a garage sale.

I was bummed that there wasn't a console to go with it, would have loved to try some of them out.

Regards, Ron

Lucky! If I found all of that at garage sale, I would be completely beside myself.

Hell, I'll give you triple what you paid for it. ;)

It's funny, you're the complete opposite of the usual people who come to AtariAge asking about their box of dirt-common stuff, expecting it to be worth a mint; you come along with this set of hella-cool and fairly rare stuff, wondering if it's even worth the bother to sell! And most people have a pile of common games with maybe a rare game in the mix; over half of your games are rares. :D

By the way, here's the link to Tomorrow's Heroes Intellivision Rarity & Price Guide that I referred to when coming up with my figures. There are other guides, such as Digital Press, that actually skew higher, but I think the TomHeroes guide is a closer approximation of what you're likely to get. Note, however, that some of TomHeroes' prices are severely out of whack or outdated, particularly regarding INTV Corp. releases, and ultra-rares like Congo Bongo and Tutankham (both of which have, in the last year or two, fetched well into the hundreds of dollars, complete in box). Their prices for your items seem pretty on the money, though, based on prices I've seen for these things recently. But anyway, you can check these out if you feel like doing further, more thorough research, instead of taking the word of one guy on the internet. :D

Have you considered keeping them and starting an Intellivision collection? You're off to a great start. :)

The only thing that made me wonder about the value was the fact that 2 of the games were still factory sealed.

I think this may have been a set purchased by grandparents for when the grand kids came to visit.

The voice module still has the bubble wrap on it.

Time to track down an Intellivision II system to try this stuff out I think.

I tell yah, that garage sale hunting could get addicting with finds like this...lol

Thanks for the help --> rep for you

That's an important piece of information that I managed to overlook! Ha, leave it to me...

Well, being basically brand-new old stock certainly can't hurt the value. I really don't know how much more they're worth than opened/used copies; I'd guess you could tack on an extra 10%-15%, maybe 20% (to the individual games, I mean).

I think in a lot of cases, it really depends on the game how much NIB status affects the value. For instance, there was recently a NIB copy of Fathom on eBay that closed at $420.00 US; Fathom's a fairly rare game for Intellivision, but an opened CIB copy might go for around $100 (to my knowledge). Conversely, there's a NIB Scooby Doo's Maze Chase on eBay right now for only $20.00 US...although it's located in Venezuela, so I don't know if that makes a difference. And if you took a dirt-common game, like Astrosmash or something, it might be worth $3.00 instead of $2.00. A general (and kind of "duh") rule is that the rarer the [NIB] game, the higher the proportionate value.

So I'd say, yes, your NIB games are worth more, but probably not substantially. Again, that's by my best guess; I'm not an expert (even though I talk like I think I am), just an enthusiast! :)

Thanks for the rep point! Have one for yourself!

Only $30 each? I think the cheapest Music Synthesizer that I've ever seen (at least on eBay) went for about $70 loose, and it wasn't in the best of shape. ECS Computer Adaptors usually seem to go for $50 and up, and at least $80 if they're in the box.

Yeah? Alright, I stand corrected. :)

I know Digital Press lists them each at $50, but they have (or had, at least) a reputation for being a little on the high side. I got my ECS a couple years ago for $30, and Ianoid sold a Music Synth last year at MGC for $30, I believe. That's what I went by, but it stands to reason that they've gone up a bit since then...that, or Ianoid just cuts killer deals. Bits of both?

Well, okay Ron, it looks like your lot is worth closer to $250. :)

I'm just going to sit back and let you all increase my price until i can trade it for Striker.....

at this rate should only take a few more days ;)

Just got back from the local shopping centre, used game store...they want $150 for an Intellivision console with any 5 games.

The games are all very common, but prices at about $8-$12 each...

Ebay is my friend I think.

2 auctions look good for getting my hand on a console.

This One: eBay Auction -- Item Number: 2304744507041?ff3=2&pub=5574883395&toolid=10001&campid=5336500554&customid=&item=230474450704&mpt=[CACHEBUSTER]

would you be willing to sell the bomb squad and space spartans french games separatly?

I'll definitely let you know if I decide to sell any of the stuff.

I'm going to try and get a console off EBay so I can make sure they actually work.

This could end up being a bunch of broken stuff  or a gold mine ...

I imagine the games aren't French, but simply Bi-Lingual packaging to satisfy the Canadian Bi-Lingual packaging rules.

If you decide to try out the stuff I'd recommend you leave the World Series and the Jetsons sealed as they're probably the most valuable and third most valuable pieces you have.

I suspect a few of us would probably pay you at least $200 or more for the whole bunch although selling to a fellow Canadian might be the most patriotic thing to do. icon_mrgreen.gificon_mrgreen.gif

Or for that matter you could probably trade for a whole bunch of other INTV stuff so you could get yourself a nice start on your collection. Either way congrats on a great find!

Frankly, you'll probably make it available to the greatest number of interested parties and will have the most secure sale if you go through eBay. Some people hate it, and I'm sure others would rather get the best price from you directly, but you'd probably get the best price through eBay (even with the seller fees). Getting a console (buy only TESTED/WORKING) is a great idea for the opened games, but as someone else wrote, leave the shrink-wrapped games as-is! Good luck, great find. I'm jealous. :-D
