FS: 2600 collection (loose carts, boxed games) REDUCED 2/27!

So, I've decided that as great as this stuff is, it's just not getting enough play time. Time to let someone else enjoy them.

I'll be listing more as I go, and will update when everything has been posted. (Loose have all been listed; still have boxed, and manuals to list)

I will be listing prices this weekend, starting tonight. If you're interested in lots, or (heaven forbid) all of them - we can work out a deal.

I'm realistic on most of these, and I pretty much know what everything goes for, so lowball offers will be ignored. Realistic offers are welcome and will always be considered.

PM or email (molloys@icc.utexas.edu) with any questions. I have references here on these boards, as well as perfect references on cheapassgamer.com, neo-geo.com, digitpress.com and sega-naomi.com.

Everything works, and is in excellent condition (occasional, expected "label mottling" notwithstanding). Please excuse any camera flash, I tried to limit it as much as possible.

If you want pics of individiual carts, just ask; they're all in great to collector condition.

Ok, so I'm getting a lot of inquiries about these.

I would have loved to just sell them all - one big lot. I know there are some gems in there, and what you're not able to tell from the pics is how great of condition some of them are (like the Avalon Hill games, for example.)

What you also don't know is that I have the manuals for more than half of these games, some in brand new condition, as well as many other manuals for games I don't own.

So, what I think I'm going to do is take individual pics, with manuals, and price them separately.

(I appreciate some of your offers, but honestly, I'm not just someone who found a box of games in the attic and doesn't know what he has. Even if I didn't, I'm smart enough to refer to ebay and other sites for relative value.)

Thanks.

Ok I'll bite, Give us a total dollar amount for all of it that u think is reasonable and we can go from there.

Because it kinda makes it hard to get what u want if u don't post some baseline price.

Totally understand. I was planning on posting a singular price when I post the manuals this evening.

There are 143 games (at the moment), and I have at least 50 manuals.

Sure, there are common carts that sell for $1, and there are some that sell for a lot more (WaterWorld, Shuttle Orbiter w/manual, Zimag games, etc.)

So, my thinking was $500 shipped. That's $3 per game ($429), $1 per manual ($50+), and the remainder towards shipping.

Personally, I think I can get more than that by selling them individually, but it's quite the hassle.

Anyway, I'll be posting individual pics and manuals, etc this evening and throughout the weekend.

Pricing is so subjective.

When someone says "Make an offer" I usually move on. I've been through the process many times and it rarely works out.

I don't like doing it that way, which is why I'm planning to price them individually.

Pricing is tough. If I list them for what they've been selling for on ebay, etc - it might be more than people want to spend here, and I alienate people.

If I undervalue them, then I'm doing myself a disservice.

So, I figure if people make offers and they're reasonable (and consistent with reality), then I accept the deal, and that's that.

However, to avoid that, I'll just add prices and see what happens.

You offered $5 per cart plus $5 for shipping for the three Zimag games and the three Avalon Hill games, plus two others.

How was that a legitimate/reasonable offer?

Shuttle Orbiter alone (in this condition) is worth considerably more than $5, as is I Want My Mommy, wouldn't you say?

So yeah, I'd say that was a low offer.

Holy crap! I was gonna offer $20 for Shuttle Orbiter and $15 for Wall Ball but I knew that would be lowballing them so I didn't .

Now I don't feel so bad for thinking about it LOL!

Actually that would be about 80% and 75% of what each might get when listed separately (when loose of course, manuals bump these a smidge).

Yeah...I don't see any Wall Balls on ebay, and Shuttle Orbiter there's only one loose, but he's asking $54 for it which is high imo. Seems like prices are way down, I just snagged a Death Trap for $34 shipped and thought I got a great deal (hey, it's an "8"), but it turns out that's actually on the high side of that carts value...

Yeah, I bought the Shuttle Orbiter with manual (both are in excellent shape, IMO) from Sean here on the boards for $50 about 2 years ago.

I also bought the Wall Ball and London Blitz from him as well.

I was selling the Shuttle Orbiter w/manual for $38, and the Wall Ball w/manual for $23.

I felt they were pretty fair, but if I'm way off the mark, by all means someone let me know.
