At this goodwill they also had a strange BLUE PS2 which i passed on, i went back this morning and bought it for $20 which included a controller. Turns out this ps2 is VERY rare! I also got XBOX Halo ed controller, N64 AV cable and N64 game shark all for about $8. About $32 total for all the above. Today i picked up an insanely good and MASSIVE N64 and SNES mostly complete games lot. It was a bit of a drive at 1.5 hours each way with pretty bad traffic and gnarly city directions. But damn it was worth it! All of the N64 stuff from this score costed me about $225 total. This stuff is CHERRY MINT most of it being in like new condition! WOOHOO!!! I picked it up near Stanford university in california in a wealthy neighborhood. Here are the photos. I have no problem with the concept of selling stuff and making money obviously as I do it all the time, but believe me if you went into a store and on each price tag was the cost to you along with the cost the retailer paid, you wouldn’t be buying shit. Retailers are smart enough to insulate prospective buyers from that information. I take exception to the fact that you WOOHOO!!! not because you appreciate what you’ve found, but because you like that it was cheap and rare and you’ll soon be exploiting AA members for their cash. WOOHOO!!! for you indeed. Again, I have no issue with the principle of making money, but bragging about a great mint find and how little it cost you is about the most tactless sales tactic I can think of. If someone outside of the community does it: OMG you're trying to profiteer off of video games! I can kind of see the hypocrisy. We've had threads before where a 3rd party buys this & that video game related & tries to sell typically over a general market value(which varies more than the weather). We frown on it. We frown on someone selling a Combat for $15.00, but people do it. Lest we forget we are one & the same people. I sell stuff at market value. i dont mark up my shit way above its actual value... i cant tell you how much time i spend in ebay completed listings and current listings trying to figure out the perfect price for my stuff that people will actually pay. only an idiot would list a combat for 10 bucks even. im not that guy. in the end i will continue being myself and not care what other people think. That is definately not an official blue PS2 but those stickers look strange. All official colored Playstation hardware has stock colored stickers. Its clear also as the controller ports, HDD expansion cover and power supply would be the same blue color. The only exception being the "Automobile collection" but that had a model number of SCPH-30000 RAB and was only released in Europe. ALSO I have spoken to the guy who bought the red one of these on ebay for $650. I pointed my auction out to him asking if he was interested. He thanked me and said "he already has this color." He did not say "that is not real, its a case mod etc etc." He acknowledged that he already had one. What more proof do you need than from an actual owner of the exact same system? Also I have a theory on why the serial number is over 666. They alotted 666 of each color to usa and europe and japan etc, meaning worldwide there are over 1300 of each color so maybe japan is 1-666 and the USA systems are 667 through ? Making mine in the 800's make sense.. Yes it looks EXACTLY like an Automobile Collection edition BUT your system clearly says "NTSC U/C". The Automobile Collection was Europe exclusive. This means one of two things A: It is a previously unknown variant. B: it is a very professional casemod. So get your facts straight before you start calling people out. I've been here for about a year and a half and I've never had a problem with anybody and I've never intentionally tried to piss someone off.
