Swords & Serpents FAQs?

I'm thankful at least that images of the overlays exist online for Swords & Serpents, but I'm surprised that there isn't much else in the way of comprehensive information out there. I played this game a great deal back-in-the-day, but now that I have the cartridge once again, my memory about what to do and so forth is a bit faulty.

 

Perhaps the largest gap in my memory lies in the ability to play as the wizard in single-player. I thought maybe the trick was to start a 2 player game and let the knight die and run out of reincarnations, but that ends the game. Most of the other details I'm having fun rediscovering on my own, but this is the one thing that I haven't figured out yet.

David, that reminds me... I noticed that you have a lot of service manuals in the Library, but none for the ECS. Do you suppose there's one out there?

 

Also, somewhere in my archives I managed to get a scan of an Intellivision 2 service manual, which doesn't seem to be in the Library. I've put a copy here.
