i wasnt sure which board to post this question, so mods can move this thread if necessary

i got to play the pitfall ii arcade demo at cge and i am very eager to own a copy for myself. i have some aa store credit coming my way in the next week or so, and was wondering what the time frame was for this games release. if it will be finshed and published before the end of 2010, i will likely hold my credit until it is out, but if it is delayed until 2011, i will probably spend my credit on other titles and buy it whenever it finally arrives

Short answer: Pitfall II Arcade is scheduled for release in late October (or early November) 2010.

Long answer: While I'm fairly certain that the boxes, manuals and cart labels will be ready by late October, I'm not 100% sure that the cartridge electronics will be ready by then. For Pitfall II Arcade, I will be using the new Activision PCB (standard 32K configuration) which is still in its final prototype testing phase. Once the last iteration of the prototype has been tested and validated, I will be ordering 1800 of these PCBs, and using 100 of them for Pitfall II Arcade. Albert has already agreed to program/solder the PCB components for me, and Albert usually delivers pretty fast, so it's all a matter of getting those 1800 PCBs manufactured. I'm just keeping my fingers crossed at this point.

And just in case anyone is wondering, yes, Team Pixelboy titles will be available at the AtariAge store, although I still need to finalize the deal with Albert. :)
