dragos
Is Doubledown still doing power switch mods? Anyone know where he gets the swiches for DIY? I really don't want some ugly power button mod, his look nice and clean. Any info appreciated...

+Yurkie
You could ask Yurkie, he did awesome job with his Power Button mod I didn't know I did a power button mod. I do however rebuild power switches so they work like new, and offer ColecoVision mods. Check out the link in my signature for a Youtube video of my ColecoVision mods. If you want to go the DIY route, desolder the switch from the board. Take it a part and and throughly clean ( I recommend DeoxIT ). I highly recommend not attempting unless you have good repair and soldering skills. Good luck.

dragos
My soldering skills are passable. I put one of these together: http://c64.digitalscream.com/MicroKIM/ What I want is a button like Doubledown uses. Any one have any ideas? Doubledown had those plastic push buttons made as a custom order, and as far as I know, he never told anyone here who was his supplier. He remained deliberately tight-lipped whenever someone asked him about it.

I'm not sure that they were made as a custom order, but I do recall doubledown stating that they were industrial switches that were very expensive. I've got ~$40 in my head but could be mistaken.
