112,200 but I can usually do better.

I love this game. If you like the wrestling in this game Mania Challenge has reversals in the move set. :)

Has anyone else developed a "finishing set"? I get them down near the corner, backflip off the corner, run across the ring off the ropes and do a splash for the pin!

FYI: 4 Horsemen for life!!   :D

First - in Mat Mania you cannot get more than 3 grapples in a row. If you try a fourth it WILL be reversed. Usually I'll let the opponent get back up on his own and punch/kick him down a few times before trying my three grapples again. The computer has no such restriction though. It can grapple you ten times in a row if it is able.

Second - I never get into a punching contest with Coco Savege. He'll always rush you with the shoulder block. Your best bet is to use the shoulder block on HIM. He will devastate you if he gets his hands on you so be very careful of your grapples. I've actually gone with a count out on him in the past because it used to be easier. If you have to resort to a body slam over the ropes for the win until you get better timing on him then do it.

Third - If I'm thrown into the ropes I always keep hitting the kick button - the flying body press. Usually it is a good counter. If it lands it buys you a few seconds to attempt to get back to your feet and if it doesn't land you may still hit the opponent putting you both on your back. A good counter if you're ahead in stamina and get up first.

Fourth(this is a point nitpick) - I punch three times then kick twice to get the opponent down. Punches are 50 points but fater. Kicks are 100 points but land slower so I use it when they're stunned.

Fifth - Punch, move down and away VERY slightly, punch again, move, punch again. Once you get this timing down you'll rarely lose a punch-out contest and they won't hit you much if at all.

I'll think of more later. I have to go to work. Damn life getting in my way. :)

Getting better.  Got the champion belt.  But then Coco Savage beat me in his second challenge match.
