Important Note: This competition is over and no further scores will be accepted.

Welcome to the second High Score Club Variety Pack! Rules for this competition are a little different, so please read:

  • This competition combines four games over a two week period. The deadline for posting scores is Wednesday November 10th at 1:00 AM (Central Time, UTC-6).
  • Scores for each game will be listed separately, with reduced scoring awarded for each game (5 points for first place, 4 for 2nd, 3 for 3rd, 2 for 4th, and 1 for all other scores).
  • Scores are also combined for a final ranking, with Combined Score = (Pooyan Score x 15) + (Bermuda Triangle Score) + (Time Pilot Score) + (Fast Eddie Score). These scores will then be ranked and scored as per normal High Score Club rules (11 points for 1st place, etc).
  • This means you could score up to 31 points if you post the #1 score for all four games. Alternatively, even if your scores are low, you can get 5 points just for participating.
  • You do not have to play the games in any specific order, and you can submit updated scores for each game separately.
  • You do not have to play all four games. If you leave out one game, you will still be counted in the final ranking as if you had scored 0 for that game.
  • Scores for individual games will still be capped at the point where the score rolls over. No additional capping will occur for combined scores though.
  • For this competition, there will be no bonus challenges, and no points awarded for best tips (don't worry, they'll come back next time!)

As always, you really should read the manuals. In case you don't have the manuals, AtariAge has typed or scanned versions of all four manuals (except Time Pilot). Please see their individual pages linked above for hints and tips (They will not be reprinted here).

OK, it looks like I will have to emulate for all these. The only cart I have is Time Pilot and I think it is a bitrot victim; I have cleaned what looked like a clean cart thoroughly and it does the same wierd stuff every time. Looks like a fun pack of games!  Morgan

I own 2 outta' 4 of these games 'EDDIE' and 'BERMUDA' (have no idea what to do in the Bermuda game). The other two I never heard of and will go to the emulator. Time to study...

Happy Halloween, I was kinda expecting, Halloween, or
Spikes Peak/Ghost Manor, but this is fine and more score friendly.

No not Spikes Peak!  :x

I wouldn't mind playing Ghost Manor. :)

roadrunner's tip for Bermuda Triangle -

collect treasure from the bottom of the ocean and bring it up to your rescue ship. :)

Ok,

Time Pilot - 8,400 - really tough using arrow keys to fly. Some bad collision detection here.

Pooyan - 790 - not sure I understand what the "bait" is yet.

Bermuda Triangle - 12,500 - a little boring

Fast Eddie - 6,650 - looks boring, but actually pretty fun

Pooyan: 1,105 (didn't know other stage was included)

Bermuda Triangle: 7,500 (it's worth noting that you should avoid the lava lamp/rocketship objects at the surface, and only dock with the golden boats, not the red ones!)

Time Pilot: 23,700 (not bad, despite the limitations of the Atari 2600)

Fast Eddie: 3,230 (no comment)

I'm in the same boat only I have Time Pilot and Bermuda Triangle though, like you, I've never played it.  Time Pilot is one I enjoyed playing when I was a kid.

Ok, here are my first submissions (all on emu.)  I plan on firing up my Harmony cart later on:

Bermuda Triangle:  11,150!  Never gave this one the time of day before now.  This one's kind of fun...especially when you break 10K.

Bermuda Triangle (1982) (Data Age).png

Fast Eddie:  22,810!  It's kind of boring until you get into the higher levels.  THEN it becomes quite a challenge.

Fast Eddie (1982) (20th Century Fox)_2.png

Pooyan:  4,055!  Ugh...not the best conversion, but challenging, nonetheless.

Pooyan (1983) (Konami).png

Time Pilot:  23,000!  Once you master how the enemies fly, this one's pretty easy.  I predict we'll see some pretty high scores on this one.

Time Pilot (1983) (Coleco).png

All in all, it's going to be a fun couple of weeks.  :)
