Snider-man
DAY 3 PRIZE: Today's prize is what I call “The Atari Videogame Sequal Package,” consisting of Donkey Kong Jr., Ms. Pacman, and Defender II! (NOT the Stargate label version!) Today's contest: Christmas is a joyous time for all. Well, ALMOST all. Pictured below are eight of the meanest, nastiest Christmas malcontents ever known. Your mission is to identify each Christmas villian AND identify what Christmas TV special OR movie this villian appeared in. (This contest may be difficult for folks outside of the U.S.) Here are some rules clarifications: 1. Most important is that all of these folks have NAMES. I want their names as presented in the show or movie. Do not simply say “The bird from show X” or “That magician guy from movie X.” If you do not supply a character’s name, it will be counted as incorrect. Also, be sure to name the show or movie they’re in as well. 2. I will be very lenient (to a degree) with how some of these folks are identified. However, my decision is FINAL as to the accuracy of your answers. Make ‘em count! 3. As before, you may only post your guesses once. More than one post and you shall be disqualified. 4. Again, you may not edit your message. If your list is corrected or edited after you've posted it, it shall be voided. (That way, someone won't immediately post some gibberish, go research, then come back and correct it - effectively making them "first.") (In case anyone needs a reminder of the rules, go here. And now, the Christmas Villians! Good luck!

Snider-man
Yes, Rankin Bass rocks! Congratulations to bratwurst who was the first to post the correct names and shows/movies of the Christmas Villains. The correct answers are: 1. The Grinch from “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” 2. The Snow Miser from “The Year Without a Santa Claus” (I accepted Cold Miser. The "Miser" part was most important for me to know you had identified the character.) 3. The Abominable Snowman from “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” 4. Professor Hinkle the Magician from “Frosty the Snowman” 5. Aeon (or Eon) the Buzzard from “Rudolph’s Shiny New Year” (I *never* thought anyone would find him so fast...) 6. Burgermeister Meisterburger from “Santa Claus is Comin’ To Town” (Ditto.) 7. Oogie Boogie (or The Boogeyman) from “The Nightmare Before Christmas” 8. Ebenezer Scrooge (as played by Alastair Sim) from “A Christmas Carol” (the 1951 version – my favorite!) If bratwurst will PM me his address, I will get his prize in the mail. Keep in mind that - if you win any prize - you are now ineligible for further contests with the exception of the Day 12 Giveaway. Congrats once again! When we play tomorrow, here's the prize up for grabs: I call it "Atari FIRE! package.” See you then!
