help! games freeze!

Recommended Posts

Hello all,

today my Inty started having issues: regardless of the cart I put in, after a few seconds of regular operation the game freezes and then, after a couple more seconds, the screen turns green or black. If I reset, the same thing happens again and again... Anyone has an idea of what is going wrong? Hopefully is something easy to fix?

I'm quite worried :(

thanks for any help...

I think could be cleaning needed, there´s several methods to do so, and is important to clean both games and the port.

I use an eraser to clean the contacts in the games, until is shining! The erasor I use is flat and is used for ink, so is more erasive and left very low residues.

For the port I use Oil in spray (like the ones you use for loosen screws and have a little straw for precision) (looses the dirt) and then insert a thick cardboard several times to remove the oil and dirt. This oil is not coductive and I apply it to all my consoles with excellent results, is a bring to life technique.

Hello Ed,

thanks for the suggestion. I did clean all the cartridges (I use classiclean) but, now that I think of it, the port may not be as clean since my cotton swabs don't really get in between the two rows of contacts. Do you use anything particular to reach them and clean them properly?

Cheers!

Hi Roberto,

I use Oil and cardboard I cut the cardboard just a milimeter thicker than the cart and the same wide, you insert it several times until is clean. and cotton swabs are to gentle, I think (I haven´t tested classiclean, but i did with alcohol and did nothing)
