Chuck D. Head
Thanks to the-Topdog I now have a cassette deck for my Aquarius. I have found a number of cassette games on the web with the .CAS extension and references to using CAS2WAV to convert to .WAV files. However I cant find anywhere to download the CAS2WAV utility. Anyone know where it is? Morgan
jaybird3rd
In another thread, I posted a copy of the Virtual Aquarius emulator. You'll find a copy of CAQ2WAV in that archive, in a subdirectory called "Tools". It also includes quite a few cassette images for you to try. Chuck D. Head
Ok, so I need a little help with the cassette files. Most of the folders have two or three files; for instance Chuckman has CHUCKMAN_A.CAQ and CHUCKMAN_BAS.CAQ. When I CLOAD Chuckman, is it loading both files or just one? It looks like most of the games have two files named like this, a few have just the BAS file, and INVADERS has a BAS1 a part2 and a part3. Any insight will help, Im a little slow on the uptake tonight.

Load the "A" files (for array) in sequentially.

Whole network down, took me ten minutes to reboot all the switches and get network and two hours to get the point-of-sales booted up correctly. eesh, gotta stop answering the phone. Chuck D. Head
Ok, so far, so good! I finally got some time to spend loading some cassette games in by plugging the cassette cable into my laptop. First try was Invaders, nice use of colors, played well. Then some more unique action with Stalactite. This is fun, but I will need to try to modify the program to be more difficult. My next task is to use the Wav files to record onto cassette and load files with the cassette deck. Thanks for the help with this!
