Snider-man
DAY 8 PRIZE: A set of never-used, still in the box Atari 2600 compatible joysticks! Howdy gang! All this hoopla about clocks prompted me to make this next conest - about clocks! Below are five clock faces, each with a different time showing on its face. I have hidden a word - a Christmas word - using those clock faces and the times they show. The first person who can solve the riddle and post that Christmas word wins the prize. Here are some rules clarifications: 1. As always, you may only post your guesses once. More than one post and you shall be disqualified. 2. Again, you may not edit your message. If your list is corrected or edited after you've posted it, it shall be voided. (That way, someone won't immediately post some gibberish, go research, then come back and correct it - effectively making them "first.") (In case anyone needs a reminder of the rules, go here. I don't think this is too difficult. Maybe just "semi-"difficult. Good luck!

Snider-man
Congratulations to scooterb23 who was the first to post the winning word: ANGEL. How was this solved? Simple... I gave you a clue of sorts in the last line of the initial post - that this was "semi-" difficult. Then, in my later post, I placed quotes around "semi" and "for." SEMAPHORE! The word is spelled out in SEMAPHORE code. You know, with the flags. Here's a visual: The times that appear on the clocks are irrelevant. The positions of the ARMS is what's important as they correspond to the arms of someone using that famous maritime flag code. If scooterb23 will PM me his address, I will get his prize in the mail. Keep in mind that - if you win any prize - you are now ineligible for further contests with the exception of the Day 12 Giveaway. Congrats once again! When we play tomorrow, here's the prize up for grabs: Wow! Planet Patrol and Gangster Alley for the 2600! See you tomorrow!

Jeffy Arensmeyer
It looks like these contests go fast once they start. Day 12 will be a lot of fun. Good call on the "Angel". ò¿ó
