It would be interesting to know if Activision actually distributed any of the halfmoon Beamrider patches, and if so, if the letter was the same once the patch was changed to the more commonly seen one. As you can see, I didn't handle it very carefully. But I still have all the (unsued) posters and stickers mentioned.
