Where has everything moved to?
I'm looking for a good starter point, the downloads, etc.
I have Wookie's site bookmarked.

What else?

The CC65 compiler made my life a lot easier. If you can compile the demo from Matthias Domin about collision detection (demo was rewritten by Karri to be compatible with the latest CC65), you got a demo explaining sprite-display, movement & collision in one.

The demo

It is the same basically. The new version of cc65 is not completed yet. Wookie is still working on the fast boot process and I have some minor or major bug in cart loading. But if you download the daily snapshots things will get better day by day.

If the "bleeding edge" is not important then I suggest my old cc65.u3p collection that is easy to use on Windows and pretty bug free afaik.

The biggest difference between bleeding edge and the U3 versions are:

- U3 does not have built-in IRQ support
- U3 does not have ComLynx drivers
- U3 does not have commands "open", "read", "lynx_load" and "lynx_exec"

In addition to this the "bleeding edge" version can probably soon be single-stepped and debugged in Code::Blocks IDE. You know setting breakpoints, examining variables and so on.

The "bleeding edge" also has three pre-created configurations:
- lynx.cfg (cart)
- lynx-bll.cfg (upload to ram)
- lynx-coll.cfg (cart including collision detection)

The cc65.u3p is now published as cc65.u3p U3 memory stick release

My server at home just does not work anymore (sipo.fi)

I remember that server. LOL It kept dropping when you and I were working on stuff together. LOL
I'll take a look into this again. I may wait for the finished version... not sure though. I do like the ComLynx support... and that may be important if I want to try this project.

I just got the cart access bug fixed and sent the patch to Uz.

For testing the new compiler I have now modified Solitaire to compile with it. All IRQ stuff from Solitaire is now gone. Same with cart I/O. Instead I use lynx_load() and lynx_exec() for accessing the cart. They depend on open() and lseek().

The new Solitaire sources are found at Solitaire new sources

The timer does not work yet as it still needs to be rewritten as an interruptor.
