A_Locomotive Posted February 21, 2011 Share Posted February 21, 2011 So I found these 6 Windows 3.11 3 1/2in floppy disks while cleaning recently and I'm curious if they are worth anything? Whats Windows for Workgroups? I didn't really expect them to be worth anything but figured I'd ask just to be sure. I'm not going to through them out or anything. The Usotsuki Posted February 21, 2011 Share Posted February 21, 2011 WFW is a bit improved over the regular 3.1, has better drivers and networking support (it's easier to get online with) but requires a 386 and takes a bit more floppies. As loose disks not worth much, but if you can put them with the manuals and box about 20-35 USD to a collector. Neat find, a complete set. Do you have a 386 or 486 you want to get working? It's basically Windows 3.1 with a few "extras": 32-bit file access, TCP/IP compatibility (although it didn't actually come with TCP/IP; you had to install third-party protocol stacks and dialers), and so forth. There are still places that sell shrinkwrapped bundles of DOS 6.22 and WFW 3.11, so those disks aren't especially valuable. 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
