Just a filled out speakers and personalities list if some of you don't know who some of these people are:

Eugene Jarvis - The creator of arcade classics like Defender, Robotron 2084, Cruis'n USA, and the founder of the current arcade developer Raw Thrills. More details about his and Raw Thrills' involvement in the show are incoming.

George Gomez - He's responsible for co-developing several classic arcade games and hardware including Tron, Satan's Hollow and Spy Hunter, as well as co-developing the Pinball 2000 platform and the games Batman and The Lord of the Rings among others.

Jack "Jersey Jack" Guarnieri - Veteran pinball distributor and author, he will be at the show I believe Sunday to talk about his new venture, Jersey Jack Pinball, a company that will specialize in producing premium pinball games such as their upcoming Wizard of Oz game.

Dennis Nordman - Veteran pinball designer responsible for co-designing games like Pirates of the Caribbean, Elvira and the Party Monsters, and the upcoming Wizard of Oz.

Joe Balcer - Veteran pinball designer responsible for co-designing games like The Simpson's Party Pinball, Star Wars Trilogy, and the upcoming Wizard of Oz.

Greg Freres - Veteran pinball artists responsible for games like Medieval Madness, Revenge From Mars, and Monster Bash.

Keith Johnson - Responsible for designing the software behind several pinball classics like Revenge From Mars, The Simpson's Party Pinball, and Lord of the Rings.

Roger Sharpe - Veteran pinball designer responsible for co-designing games like Cyclopes and Global Warfare. He's also well known for helping to legalize pinball before the New York City Council based on his play.

Jeri Ellsworth - Famous designer and electronics hacker best known for her "computer on a chip" design for the TV plug & play Commodore 64 controllers. She will unveil her "As Seen on TV" pinball machine at the show as part of the Pinball Wars exhibit in the BenHeck.com Experience room.

Ben "BenHeck" Heckendorn - Famous designer and electronics hacker best known for his portable game systems, controllers, and even an amateur film maker. He will also have his Bill Paxton Pinball as an entry in Pinball Wars exhibit, as well as a first look at his Lost pinball machine and upcoming "Tesla VS Edison".

Josh Sharpe - President of the World Pinball Player Rankings and an extremely good player in his own right.

Marty Goldberg - Programmer and Designer with Legacy Engineering Group, co-founder of the Midwest Gaming Classic, and my co-organizer in the museum wing of the MGC among other things.

"Trickman" Terry Minnich and Ken "Sushi X" Williams of Electronic Gaming Monthly famle.

Ralph Baer - "Father of Video Games" best known for, well, creating this whole video game industry with his "Brown Box" game console. His exact involvement with the show will be announced at a later date.

Jim Schelberg - Veteran author, publisher and editor of the venerable PinGame Journal.

Lloyd Olson - Veteran author and owner/operator of one of the oldest arcades in North America, SS Billiards in Hopkins, Minnesota.

The International Game Developers Association, Wisconsin Chapter (IDGA) - The IDGA will once again hold a meeting at the Midwest Gaming Classic which I believe will mirror the open format they held last year. The IDGA's members include several local video game developers including those at Raven Software.

Just an announcement that my friend, Atari Co-founder Ted Dabney, has been added to the speakers list. I will be doing a live Skype chat/interview/etc. at this year's Midwest Gaming Classic with him. It's scheduled for Saturday the 26th at 3:30pm central in the E2M sponsored Museum room (consoles '72 to present, vintage computers).

So what are the odds of Mr. Baer being at the show? I'd be tempted to bring part of my Odyssey for autographing if he's going to make the trip to the show.

I'm pondering if I can bum a ride from someone in the twin cities & gettin' me a hotel room. Hmmm

Our car is full but you can crash on the floor of the room if you want for free? One guy hasn't confirmed he is coming with yet either so if he flakes you can take his car spot. Warning..I WILL be up late drinking :)

I think I could get myself a hotel room(I'm a privacy freak) & easily pitch in for gas. My car has a VERY high mileage, and I've been saving my pennies so I could pay in gas money & driving skills.

My only drinking problem? I don't drink enough!

Kiddie cocktails. That's all he drank last year people were these fruity kiddie cocktails with little umbrellas in them.

Well, I happen to like my Shirley Temples thank you very much :P

My opinion of you varies greatly based on exactly what Shirley Temple you like to drink the most.

A or C and I may never talk to you again

Let's just keep things under control this year...*cough*AX*cough* I remember last year when the police showed up at the hotel in response to a Shirley Temple/Depends/Leslie Nielson-related disturbance.

:D

WHAT!? Ax told me that was his "aunt" Shirley!

Shirley you jest.

At any rate, I heard that last year the cops DID show up because they thought the "GAMING" in Midwest Gaming Classic was GAMBLING. They apparently hassled people setting up the show until it was proven otherwise. When I left the setup on Friday night I went to the ATM. Brookfeild police followed me out of the parking lot at the hotel MGC was at, to the free ATM located on Bluemound road. They parked next to my car as I got out and withdrew funds. Then followed me to my hotel near the highway. I just didn't want to have to try and get money the next morning. :| apparently taking money out of an ATM late at night is a crime.

Yeah, they did. A couple of them even stopped by to chat me up while I was setting up the GOAT Store booth. They were friendly enough to me, and seemed satisfied upon seeing all the Atari and Nintendo and Sega stuff (one of them even browsed the 2600 games and reminisced about games like River Raid and Breakout...good thing he didn't notice Casino or Blackjack!). The whole thing was just stupid though. I want to say they got a complaint about the show, and that they were investigating that, but I don't remember how it all came about.

It was shitty how they followed you around, too. Milwaukee area police (I'll lump Brookfield in there, too) are unfortunately known to pull some pretty scuzzy moves from time to time. Like the time Jen got pulled over in the ghetto on the way to or from work (she teaches at an inner-city school). She gets pulled over, and then two or three more squads pull up behind. Then the cop sees she is white, and waves the rest them off. WTF kind of shit is that? :|

I'll move the badge call to this thread. Anybody who wants AA/MGC badges, please let me know. These will be different than the past two years, I'll be basing them off of actual Atari Inc. badges, with the back side having MGC 10th anniversary material on it.

Also, for people that aren't aware - my section of the museum is moving to an "early '80's arcade" look this year in honor of the show's anniversary. That means lights out, rope lights and EL wire, and plenty of good 80's music blasting.

So what are the odds of Mr. Baer being at the show? I'd be tempted to bring part of my Odyssey for autographing if he's going to make the trip to the show.

Right now it's planned for him to be there, completely dependent on his health though. If he can't physically be there we'll be doing a live skype instead, but either way we'll announce it ahead of time.
