jaybird3rd
Congratulations! I'm up to 93 unique loose titles myself (with a few extra boxed copies), which leaves me about 30 titles short of a complete collection. Of course, the ones I have are "easy pickings" compared to most of the ones I don't have yet, and I probably won't try to get all of them. I can't see myself putting down hundreds of dollars for Spiker! or Stadium Mud Buggies, for example.
IntellivisionDude
I can't see myself putting down hundreds of dollars for Spiker! or Stadium Mud Buggies. Either can i. Just hoping i get lucky some day and get one for cheap. Not good odds, but not out of the real of impossibility.
jaybird3rd
Either can i. Just hoping i get lucky some day and get one for cheap. Not good odds, but not out of the real of impossibility. I'm really hoping that Intellivision Productions follows through on their plans to release limited-edition reproductions of some of the rarer games. Spiker!, Stadium Mud Buggies, and Body Slam! are three titles they've mentioned as ideal candidates, along with unreleased titles like Deep Pockets and Illusions, which would help a lot of collectors to fill some significant gaps in their collections without having to pay crazy eBay money. Well, oportunities happens, I meke a deal with a guy of trading some old Playboy magazines and he will bring some Intv carts, never told me the titles, I was guessing Utopia, Astrosmash and so on. My mouth dropped to the floor when I saw the spiker, I also pick Motocross and Nfl Football (to compensate something for the spiker) and give him 13 magazines, and even I get some money out of the deal. I just really couldn´t imagine that I ever found spiker in my country, for that date, Nintendo was the King of the market here. So, the same way you find a cheap World series and a phantom, maybe you can do it again..
jaybird3rd
That's been my strategy, too: sit back, keep an eye on eBay and other potential sources, and just wait until something irresistible comes along. It took me a few years to build up my present collection, and I don't think I've paid any more than about $25 for any one of my cartridges (that was probably for Pole Position; most of the others were significantly cheaper). It's possible to build a collection faster, of course, but it generally costs a lot more money.

SlowCoder
Although I like the slogan, my "store" doesn't seem to be very profitable though! We both know what you're doing. Undercut the competition until you've run them out of business ... then when you've got your customers by the balls, squeeze, squeeze, squeeze them hard until their eyeballs pop out of their skulls and all their money falls out of their pockets. Yeah, we both know ...

Yeah, we both know ... Lol! Oooh, I like the money falls out of their pockets part!!! I just remind myself that a) cleaning stuff out makes my wife happy, b) I'm putting good gaming karma out into the universe, and c) the clearing out of space allows for future gaming awesomeness that I don't have to have a home! One day in the not too distant future I will post some pics of the INTV part of my collection, which while not of the Alex Pace variety is still pretty awesome none the less. A couple more pieces to the puzzle are on their way to me and then....

When did you hear about this? Intellivision Productions has been saying this for over 7 years that I know of and they have yet to release any hardware for the original console. I think it is safe to say that they will NEVER release anything for the original console. There just is no money to be made and we know their only motive is money. I think it is safe to say that they will NEVER release anything for the original console. There just is no money to be made and we know their only motive is money. I first heard it from an interview that Keith Robinson did for Retro Gaming Radio, in the March/May 2006 episodes, and he's mentioned it in other interviews since. Every once in a while people ask about it on their Facebook page as well, so I'm sure that Intellivision Productions is at least aware that there is a demand for new cartridges. The closest they've come to hardware production so far has been the X-in-1 plug-and-play handhelds, and the success of those units was what funded the development of Intellivision Lives! DS. Remember, though, that it took them something like seven years to find a publisher, and they're a small enough company that they probably couldn't afford to undertake two expensive projects at once (after all, there will be some cost involved in making 500 copies each of eight cartridge titles, which is the quantity that Keith was talking about in the interview). Now that they're finally getting a return on their investment in the DS collection, I'm still hoping that we'll see new cartridges. I guess we'll just have to wait and see. Yes. And personally, I would also like to see Intellivision Productions start rolling out NEW titles for the system as well. There are enough people out there with Intellivision systems who would buy them. Let's get the life of the the great Intellivision Console GOING AGAIN!!!
