SRGilbert
FINALLY found some decent Atari stuff this summer at a flea market. I can't believe how dry it's been really, and this was the last one of the year. Atari light sixer, with 28 games, all with manuals, 4 joysticks, 2 sets of paddles, and a few nice extras! Actually, the Stick Stands and the Vid-Tari cover are what sold me since I didn't have them, although the whole set is in great condition. He was asking $75 for the lot, talked him down to $50, so a good deal all around! From another vendor, a big bag of over 55 misc Nintendo manuals, some N64, a lot of GBA, a real mix. Was asking $15, got it for $10. From the same guy, I also picked up the complete series of Babylon 5 + the 5 movie set on DVD. Great condition, 100% complete. Was asking $10 each set, got all 6 for $50. Pretty good seeing the lot would go for around $125 on ebay. I watched B5 on and off when it was on the air originally, I liked it, but never made an effort to keep up with it. Hasn't been any good sci-fi on TV in a while, so I thought I'd give it a go! I also picked up a bunch of CD's from him for $1 each. I had a pretty cool Goodwill score last week too, not even sure how I came to pick them up but I'm glad I did. I found a pair of authentic Ray-ban sunglasses (model W1677) just sitting on a shelf. I know Ray-bans aren't cheap, so I figured they had to be worth the $2 they were asking! Yeah, turns out these are a $250 pair of shades new, and they are in used but very nice shape. I'll bet I can flip em for at least $50. Not a bad ending to a pretty weak yard sale / flea market season I suppose.

zylon
Nice find! You got some cleaning to do! Nah. Just going into the parts box. I have no way to test/use the 2600 to 5200 unit as mine are early 4-port systems, the trackball unit is frozen and has some weird modded wires sticking out of it, and I have plenty of working cx-40's. I figure the cx-40 alone was worth the $3, plus the IC's inside the adaptor are just gravy.

DestinedCruz
Basically just r-epasting the first part here form the Light Sixer List... I bought my Light Sixer from a local video game store where I'm pretty good friends with the owner. He'd just had it traded in a box with a stack of games (Pitfall 2 was in that stack! Woo!) for next to nothing, and told me I could have the whole box for $8 because he was too lazy to clean and test everything at the time and it probably didn't even work. It wasn't until I came to clean the system up that I noticed it was a six switch. System works absolutely perfect so I haven't bothered opening it up at all. Had a set of paddles (though one of them is broken - I have another set though) and two joysticks (one missing the rubber grip). Aaaand the RF box just fell apart in my hands about thirty seconds ago. Damnit. Found my Short Rainbow a few years ago at a garage sale for five bucks with paddles and joysticks. I love garage sales. +FujiSkunk
Video game finds have been dry lately, but that's probably for the best considering AtariAge has been getting a lot of my money! Last weekend I found a few good '80s CDs that weren't yet in the collection, like Jeff Beck's Flash, Starship's Knee Deep in the Hoopla, Stevie Ray Vaughan's Soul to Soul and Couldn't Stand the Weather, Steve Winwood's Arc of a Diver and the Pretenders' Get Close. These came from several different stores, and ranged from less than a buck to $3 each. They were all worth the asking price, especially since three of the discs replaced cassettes I can now toss. orangest
Crazy Climber handheld was $7 at a swap and works great. The Neverhood was $1 at an Out of the Closet thrift. $.99 at a Goodwill; I like the song and the Space Duel action is a nice bonus. It was nice to be able to pass up 2 separate small 2600 commons lots in the same day. Also passed up a boxed (w/ styrofoam) Colecovision with Donkey Kong but without a power supply for $19.99. It was at the Gardena Goodwill between the 110 and the Hustler Casino, so good luck!
+thegoldenband
Crazy Climber handheld was $7 at a swap and works great. Ooh, that looks nice. I wonder if I saw one when I was a kid? The game mechanics would certainly work fine in a handheld/tabletop unit.
