Working as a fire protection mechanic can have it's benefits. Because i visit a lot of companies and people you come acros some nice people that have the same hobby.

yesterday i was working at a place and noticed a lot of consoles. So i talked with the owner. I noticed he had a sega cd, so i told him i was searching one.

he then said he wanted to sell it because he didn't use it.

I asked how much it would cost. He said he wanted to try it first to see if it worked. It worked, he wanted 30 euro for it. So i said i would buy it, but i didn't have the money. He said no problem take the sega with you and transfer the money when you're home!!!

So for 30 euro i got the sega cd, 2x road advenger, 1x sonic cd and make my video inxs.

the megadrive is mine. Also got the part the supports the model 1.

Both of these for $8 in a flea's market.

Nice, is that one on the right a pirate cart?

I always liked Snake's Revenge. No, it's not cannon with the Metal Gear series but it was well made and fun to play, and Hideo said later it inspired him to make the 'real' sequel to Metal Gear, Solid Snake.

Yep, a bootleg.

I was about to use the words Taiwan Cooper, but I think these only apply to the Atari VCS ones.

I was pleasantly surprised by the Snake's Revenge one, it's well done.

LOL! a little off topic, but has anyone seen the somewhat x-rated Flash Gordon spoof "FLESH GORDON"? Funny as heck!!!!! It's sort of like "The Toxic Avenger" that style of raunchy comedy.

I've heard of it (even downloaded both of 'em), but I still haven't seen it. I assume they're kind of similar to the old Russ Meyer skin flicks and Barbarella?

Looked all over town, all thrift stores, pawn shops, the two yard sales there were found nothing but PS3, 360 (none I wanted), a ton a sports junk, a few nasty PS2's, and so on. So I went up to Abilene yesterday to visit some friends and play some N64, and at a yardsale there I spied a smallish box with some games, that my friend had already reached, but I did manage to snag two games before he snatched them all up:

Payed $10 for the lot.

Whoa, nice find indeed! I'll double your money for that Panzer Dragoon Saga...heck, I'll triple it, since I'm feeling generous.

(I assume you know that's a $300-400 game, and that your lack of jubilant gloating is a sign of restraint! That may well be this thread's find of the year.)

Well, I knew it wasn't common via discussions with various sects of gamers, but holy shit I had no clue that game was so expensive! I was the end of month community sale and those guys sell every boxed game at $5 and loose ones at $3, unless they're sets or otherwise oversized boxes, which are $10, PC games are always $10 loose or $20 complete so I'm going to assume they're PC guys...

But holy crap, now I'm afraid to play it, and I just replaced my Saturn too...

Yes, it's the second-most expensive US Saturn release, and the only pricier one is essentially a variant (the Netlink version of Daytona CCE). Don't be afraid to play it -- just make sure your Saturn's drive is working properly, since they occasionally drop out of alignment (which can scratch discs), and dive in! It's supposedly a great game, though I've never played it.

Yep, similar to Barbarella. Flesh Gordon comes on late night TV every once in a while. They sure as heck won't show it on prime time, but you never know nowadays.

Congratulations for the epic find - stunning! Welcome to the Panzer Saga Club :D I had it as a kid, and never got rid of it because it's a really fun game. A great example of a awesome game that has sadly become too expensive to warrant for most people. I wouldn't buy it for what it's worth today, but for what I paid then and especially what you paid, it's a real gem to have. Do you have all 4 discs? I've considered packing away the box and manual for mine, and then putting the discs in a mult-dvd shell, along with all my Saturn/Sega CD games into DVD cases. the 4 discs for mine are in white sleeves that all sit inside the case above disc 1 with no foam insert like most Sega CD/Saturn games.

I remember having this on pre-order way back in graduate school. But my playstation died and the saturn was getting zero attention. Being a broke graduate student, I cancelled the preorder and sold off all of my Saturn stuff on ebay to get a new Playstation.

Sigh...

Many of the things I sold off on ebay are the stuff that are also pretty rare and expensive for the Saturn these days....
