A couple of reminders folks:

Voting for the Flag Day Craptacular ends this Sunday, June 5 at noon EDT.

Also, we are nearing the end of season 3.  If you have any suggestions for rule changes for season 4, post them to this thread here.

I'm personally not a fan of R-Type.... I have to reload my computer tonight, so while the massive data transfer happens, I'll take a crack at the game.

Same here.
I know, I know it was requested by me ..  It's a game I selected for the 1990's tourney.

Give it a shot, people. This one isn't really anything like the R-Type games prior to it. I think I may submit a score myself... :)

I was surprised, it's actually good ... for a game of the 1990's

I think part of the problem (at least for me) is the fact that there are 10 titles in the ongoing tourney that are sucking up all available gaming time.  :)  And although I do it when necessary, I really hate posting scores without learning at least a little bit of "technique" in the game.

There are proposed rule changes for next season:

  • Tournament weeks will no longer augment HSC weeks
  • There will be only six tournaments next season
  • Tournaments will be two weeks in duration
  • Tournaments will have a maximum of 10 games

There are also proposed point changes for next season's HSC rounds and within the tournaments themselves.

I like those ideas. I wouldn't mind more than 6 tourneys though, 'cause they're good fun.

Played some more.  New high: 449,000.  I'll post a screen grab if required or requested.

Thanks,
