SpaceDice2010
I haven't played the game in ages, but I recently loaded it in Harmony and for some damn reason I have clocked quite a few hours on that game. I know it mostly got bad reviews. Anyone else love this game?
zylon
I thought it was fun. Not one of the greats though.
Stan
I like it, though it's kind of like Kaboom! on a horizontal plane.
VectorGamer
It's a great game...wish I was better at it
AtariLeaf
Guilty of a 3 year bump but I've been playing a lot of this lately and it's quickly becoming a favorite. Kinda suprised at the poor reviews. Been having a lot of fun with it.
sprazzi
For me this is the best. Goes way beyond being just a videogame... It's the icon of the '80's! Our vision of The U.S. of A. My personal PAL copy...LOve it!!!
Nognir
I also think it's a great game. I especially like the Humor involved in this one
IHATETHEBEARS
I enjoy this game question a bit. My daughters are always saying "Don't eat the purple pickles!"
+Gemintronic
This would be a perfect game to make a homebrew play-alike of. I don't know why no one has tried.
Nognir
Why do you need a Play-A-Like of it when you already got the game on the Atari 2600? or do you mean an Intellivision Version with IntyBasic?
TwinChargers
I wasn't aware of this game getting poor reviews. I think its quite good fun and humorous. It has that whole 'easy to learn and difficult to master' thing going for it. What bad thing is there to say about this game?

That's a good idea too. I guess I didn't fully express myself. I mean, a new game that would impove/expand the gameplay - not just clone. Kinda like the Adventure themed homebrews. AtariLeaf
We need Food Fight for the 2600! More food games! Agreed, I'm surprised it only made it to the 7800 and Atari 8-bits unless there's a port I'm missing. There's an unofficial one for the coco which is pretty good http://www.lcurtisboyle.com/nitros9/foodwar.html Also a pretty decent Fast Food clone too: http://www.lcurtisboyle.com/nitros9/wackyfood.html
+Gemintronic
If there was a magical sequel to Fast Food what would be a good enhancement? Anything that should be avoided?
Master Phruby
I like that Fat Albert hack that someone around here did based on Fast Food.
godzillajoe
If you're just gonna remake the same game with different food, what's the point? The only upgrades I can think of are making the food move in I like that Fat Albert hack that someone around here did based on Fast Food. Ha, never played it until now. Buy Jello. http://atariage.com/hack_page.html?SystemID=&SoftwareHackID=

godzillajoe
Ack. Dunno what happened. I was gonna say move in different patterns, like zig zags and stuff. Edited April 14, 2014 by godzillajoe
T2KFREEKER
Nice to see this game get some recognition. Easily one of my all time top ten faves for the 2600. Growing up though, I was the only person I knew that had this game. Everyone wanted to play it though because nobody could find it. Really cool stuff though. Metal Jesus
Damn it! I thought this thread was going to be a vehicle for me to profess my love of Wendy's!! Oh well, the game rocks too

Zwackery
Make sure you get the t-shirt: http://www.atarimania.com/goodies/hi_res/fast_food_t_shirt.jpg I also recommend a progressive food party with Fast Food, Jawbreaker, Pressure Cooker, a smidge of Megamania, Mangia, and then end the evening with a one-two punch of Plaque Attack and Tooth Protectors.
