Out of all the 2600 games you remember playing, what game was your favorite and why?

Adventure - best 2600 game ever. And I have played just about all of them. A close second would be Dragonstomper. And third would have to go to Wizard of Wor.

Right now my short-term favorite(s) are Missile Command and Space Invaders (with the 2 bullet bug :D).  Next week my favorites might be something different.

Breakout because it introduced me to the paddle controller. The paddle controller is so awesome that I don't understand why every system doesn't have one.

Although I have various favorites, E.T. is usually at the top of the list (depending on my mood) and this is why:

Pitfall II.  Great (if repetitive) music and a definitive ending!  I love it.
Not far behind:
Asteroids, Video Pinball, Keystone Kapers, Megamania, Adventure, Space Invaders, Demon Attack, Bowling, Tennis, HERO

Midnight Magic always seems to find its way into the cartridge slot whenever I play Atari, so I'll go with that one.   :)

(Yeah, cheap link-insertion excuse, but I've never claimed to be tactful.)

EDIT: Oops -- also, Superman, hellish flicker notwithstanding.

Superman and Dragster are very close, but it will always be Asteroids.

If I can only pick one, it would be Dig Dug.  I remember laughing so much while playing it when I'd get a bunch of baddies to following me up a tunnel and then drop a boulder on them.

There were quite a few games that I liked back in the day, and there are some great ones that I've discovered more recently, but I doubt any game will ever push Adventure out of my top spot. The feeling of exploration and discovery were unmatched. It was a different story every time you played. It could be both relaxing and panic-inducing. And it had lots of replay value even though there was no scoring system.

Kaboom!

It still is, after all these years. So simple, yet so much fun, and extremely fast. Several times I showed off this game, when I was told that the Atari doesn't have difficult games.

So simple, yet so amazing.
