I'm planning to head to San Antonio tomorrow after work. A friend from there and I plan to head up to Austin on Saturday the 23rd to check out Pinballz! Anybody else care to meet us there?

There's a slight chance that this will be delayed to next weekend.

I really regret leaving San Antonio now... :(

Only now? I've regretted it since you left :)

I work Saturday from 7pm until 1:00am! What time do you think you'll be stopping by? ..Al

Not sure yet, but I'll keep that in mind. He's got a newbie, recently turned 1 - I don't know if his wife & kid are coming along or if it's Daddies Day Out. I'll post when I know more.

It's a go!

I was waiting on a package to arrive that I need to take care of for my folks (they live in Africa now). It was sent via FedEx from dad's corporate office (also located in Houston) on the 19th. It should have arrived yesterday, but FedEx's site showed it never left their facility as "Package not due for delivery". It had an delivery date of the 22nd, so I was concerned I'd have to take care of it for them on Saturday.

Had a great time, my friend wants to go back!

Glad you were able to make it! Thanks for bringing the iCade so I could play with it. Very cool device and interesting to see how it started as an April Fool's joke on ThinkGeek and ultimately became a reality.

Don't put any money in Starship Troopers; it's all kinds of screwed up!

In my experience at the arcade, Sega pinball machines have been the most troublesome and unreliable pins in the entire arcade. This includes:

- Starship Troopers

- Independence Day

- Godzilla

- Apollo 13 (which may never even return to the floor it's so problematic)

- X-Files

- Twister (constant problems with two different machines)

Data East machines aren't much better (Sega bought Data East's pinball business in 1994).
