+davidcalgary29
I have Phantasie I and III, but can't find II. Did SSI ever make it for the 8-bits?
Goochman
I enjoyed playing these on the Atari ST line - was the 8bit implementation any good? I always wondered how the speed/graphics were?
+davidcalgary29
I think you could describe both the graphics and sound in the series as (generously) "weak", but the gameplay couldn't be better. I do have a glitch in my "Phantasie III" disk that prevents me from completing the game, though.
cimerians
I only had it for my Commodore 64 and I think it was only realesed for it and the Apple computers at the time..... Andre
Hello, Phantasie (note the "ie" at the end of the name) II was definitively made for the 8-Bit computers - I have one But I have never seen Phantasie III for the 8-Bits. Are you sure it's for the 8-Bits (and not ST)? Andre
+davidcalgary29
Absolutely. Or nearly absolutely...my copy is at my parents' place in the Bahamas, and I won't be able to verify my statement for at least a couple of months. "Phantasie III", if I recall correctly, is subtitled "The Wrath of Nikademus" and I am sure that I have this for the 8-bits. I've just purchased my first ST, so I wouldn't have purchased "Phantasie III" for that computer in '87.
