Master System HSC Season 2 Round 23: Action Fighter

Get ready to play a starring role in the incredible world of international espionage. You receive five different assignments. All action-packed. And all extremely dangerous. Your secret weapon? A vehicle that transforms into a dozen different deadly devices. Your high-speed motorcycle can turn into a customized car and then into a sound barrier-breaking jet plane. All in a matter of seconds. The real test? To know when to use which weapon. Because the wrong machine, at the wrong time, can prove fatal.

 

Deadline for high scores is September 15, 2011. Start on the defualt difficulty level, do not use continues.

Hints & Tips:

 

The goal in the beginning is to not go fast, it's to destroy enough cars to get the letters. Once your letters are full and you've gotten into the van enough, you're basically invincible, provided you stay on the road. You'll know when the car starts flashing. Go just fast enough that the motorcycles don't whiz past you but the cars are still keeping up, and blast away. You can smack the motorcycles and knock them off the road when you're in bike form, then cars when you're in car form. Shooting is the best way to get anything done.

 

Bullets are completely useless, once you get missiles you're set, but better not die (which is nigh impossible due to the cheap deaths in this game) and keep them.

 

The shooting phase is incredibly difficult on the first mission. If you don't have missiles, don't shoot anything that isn't the small one-shot jets because you're going to get hit trying. Just bomb stuff until the submarines.

 

The shooting part takes FOREVER and you'll probably die a ton. This game is a clone of Spy Hunter with added details -- as long as that clock is tickin', you have free lives to burn, so try not to die and keep it running but don't die too frequently. It's when it lists lives left you have to start worrying.

 

I still haven't beat the first mission but came within 1 bomb of the last submarine. Each submarine takes 3 hits, and after you sink one and then two, the last one starts shooting ridiculously fast and becomes hard to avoid. ~ Cebus Capucinis

This is not as good as Spy Hunter.

Alot of cheap deaths in this game.

19,130/ -- the flying part seems to have more cheap deaths than the driving part. Bullets flying under clouds so you can't see, etc. and it takes FOREVER to get to the boss!
