I came across this and would rather see it go to an avid gamer/collector of this type of thing. It's a Huffy early 80's space invaders muscle bike. The bike is actually quite rare since not many have survived over the years or kids beat them up beyond repair. This one has non original grips and missing the front reflector with some surface rust down around around the crank (which I will try to clean up) other than that the bike is complete with sweet decals on it. Yes there is a small hole and rip in the seat, but it still functions and looks great for its age. I'm looking to get $200 which includes shipping to the continental US. Pretty cool for your game room:) Couldn't attach pics for some reason so here is a photobucket link. If you need more pictures, just let me know your email and I'll send them. Thanks for looking!

Me too! A friend of mine ended up getting it for his daughter if I remember right. Seemed sort of odd, a girl with a Space Invaders bike, but I didn't ask.

Does it have Bill Shatner's autograph on it too? Cool bike! Funny how it says Space Invader and not Invaders.

Is it possible to have this item cut in half and shipped in 2 pieces? In my country of Unicyclopia, there is no tolerance for multi-wheeled vehicles.

I grew up in that era, and remember that model bike, but I still have never heard the term 'muscle bike'.

Ditto. Didn't start hearing that till recently, I assume it means you need alot of muscle to ride them since they don't have shift able gears.

LOL! True. Almost all cars had muscle back then.
Except for the Pinto. :P

When I first heard that phrase here, it kinda made sense to me. Seemed as kids, we'd wear "muscle" shirts while riding our bikes back in the day. lol

Only time I ever see adults wearing 'em now is if I happen to be in a Wal-Mart. :rolling:

That was always one of my favorite pix

Way back in '89, those Invader musle bikes only cost $64 at Wal-Mart. They even had a pink variety for the girls.

Okay, so, here's the question. Can a grown man ride this thing without looking like an idiot?

Who cares if you look like an idiot or not? Just be comfortable with who YOU are!
