Had a round (#1) of Leaderboard on Pro - after a couple of holes practice It went quite well apart from an 8 on the 2nd! Didn't take too long to play either, nice game, just think what they could have done in 64K :ponder:

Finished with a respectable 77 +5 (working out the distances from memory as Pro's should ;-) )

Hopefully the teams will fill out in the week and who knows we may even get a 6th team...

Have fun everyone :)

p.s. "Up the Gremlins"

Bearing in mind my 'smack the live sh,, erm bejazus out of it' mentality I have 'mapped out' the most appropriate clubs to use for course 1. As & when more rum comes my way I'll take a look at course 2 etc.

Am I right in thinking that the wind (virtual, rather than the ghost(s) of last nights curry) becomes a pain in the erm 'rear fundament' in Pro mode?

"Go on the Gremlins!!!!"

I'm in if there's still room for me. I was away for a week, but now I'm back. I have a few of the games: Ball Blazer, Beam Rider, Crazy Clown Jumper, Pacific Coast Highway, and River Raid. I'm assuming Deteacher is a teacher, as am I. So maybe we could have a school or teaching related name? Is Deteacher our captain? I'll start playing and posting what I have on hand.

I like that! How about the "Teachers" or the "Schoolers" :)

Either works for me. Atariron and beamer might want to chime in. I like the Schoolers better, but both are good. I'll start with the smaller games as well. :)

River Raid bridge 20

27,950

@Bluecat play bridge 1
@Mr A play bridge 5
@Zylon play bridge 50

Will do my best!

Great score for Golf! :)
You're doing much better at that game than i am.

Thanks! (It was only novice level :) )

That's much better than what i'm doing at novice.
After a few goes at novice course 1 my best 2 scores are +30 and +27
I'm this close to throwing my clubs in the water.

Lets just say your feet will be getting wet and take a bag of balls :ponder: with ya, will play the 2nd round 2nite :-)

rr - checkout the games post I've added a couple more tips for the golf... a few more rounds and you'll be getting that handicap down :)
bluecat and others checkout too as have tweaked the rules too

Here's a few "one and done" plays:
Pitstop race E- time: 4:39
River Raid (bridge 50 start)-9,980...reached bridge 54 on that game

do you want the bad news... for Pitstop gonna need the times for each race (as everyone completing will get the same $ amount!)...

Here's todays efforts:
Beam Rider (superb game, intense) 18,760 (Lv9), bonus challenge starting on difficulty 3 (starts on Level 10) 3,608 (Lv11)
Serpentine 10,500
Roundabout 13,670
Kik-Start "Race J" (I've made this play in 1 session folks so no mixing and matching)
112:62.48 345:77.92 678:84.82 Total 225.22 wheely good fun :jango:
Pitstop thought I'd tackle "Race F" but if other Gremlins want to have a go that's fine by me... started off ok with a two stop strategy 4:46, 2nd course 6:18 3rd course and exploded on the 3rd lap or so; netted $121,000 - post $ and times for each lap folks. Times will decide ties.

Looking forward to relaxing game of golf after dinner or should that be tee :jango: tee hee :D

p.s. Roadrunner you missed Roundabout from your HSC rock song play list :music:

Them's fightin' words. ;) You should have listed that in the first place, but I'll find time to play at least once more then.

Not the greatest game in the world but once we have a few scores to go against should make it more interesting :)

Just played bluecat at Leaderboard Round/course 2... and lost! 8 on the 1st hole didn't help much
bluecat on Amateur 72 (evens) nearly blew it on the last hole!
trbb on Pro 78 (+6) looks like I'll be playing this round again tomorrow.

112 - 76.84
345 - 98.84
678 - 123.04

Total 298.72

Scrap my original score for race J cos I read the rules again! These 9 races were a back to back straight run through no re-starting. A good rule, makes it more of a challenge

Hi all,

As some of you on here are aware, I'm currently awaiting an operation on my spine so unfortunately I won't be able to take part in this team competition round (just my luck, I might have stood a chance with Deteacher on my side! :D ) Shame as well as there are some great games (and some of my faves) in the mix. If I do get chance to throw in a couple of scores for Deteachers team, will they be acceptable?

I'll be back in the HSC rounds later on to try and make up for it though! Looks like I will be off work for quite a while afterwards so plenty of time to practice!

Cheers for now,
Dom

I see Kik-start is "based on the Commodore version". I'll have to check my disks for that one.

Some more Team Gremlins' scores:
Turmoil 23,980
Crazy Clown Jumper 2,200 - discovered that diagonal and fire jumps even further than left/right and fire... also you level up (and get an extra man each time?) by getting to the right hand platform and making it back to the start... moving platforms  [I'll update the games post with this]
Pacific Coast Highway 24,800
Kik-Start - "Race J" 112:59.60 345:73.84 678:84.56 Total 218.00 Suggest everyone has a bash on J then can decide what tracksto go for in Races A - I ;)

Billy Peltzer: It's the creatures!
Sheriff Frank: [angered] Ah, the creatures.
Billy Peltzer: The creatures are making it look like an accident!
