I'll give Castle a run tomorrow. For now, this is my Wild Ride improvement:

The 4th isn't as hard as I had originally thought. I need to beat that darn 5th board now.

I just notices that the letters on the top, next to the Goal, changes every time you eat a cherry.
A lot easier to adjust for the EXTRA.

You ever play the 2600 or 5200 versions of Mr Do's Castle? :)

The 2600 version is a piece of shite,
while the 5200 version is almost unplayable with a stock stick. :(

Richard, you must be a master at Mr. Do's Castle to achieve such a score. Are there any other games that you are really good at? Welcome aboard. You will rise fast in the season standings if you keep that up.

For those who would like to explorer the Mr Do's saga a little bit further, you should try this game:

Jumping Jack.

I don't know why they did not put the guy, in a clown costume!!

I just can do anything on level 7 ... even 6 is a little hard

try to get the bunus everytime as it maxes out at 8k
i also was damn lucky getting a diamond about 10 times
try to keep 1 blue monster alive wait un till he splits and try to knock him down as many flors as possible
lure the monsters to holes so you can but time while they dig themselvs out

This game is growing on me. That is what these games from the eighties tend to do.

After awhile, I figured out if you can stay alive long enough to fend off some of the blue monsters, you can rack up some serious points.

I guess this submission will have to do for now:

Do's Castle: 67,720

Perhaps not for Richard Stewart, but for us novices in the sub-100k range I think the trick to this game is racking up as many points as possible on the first few levels. I've worked out a routine on the first level to get me over 25k.

Another thing I started doing today was completely forgetting about trying to spell EXTRA. I use the "free time" I get from collecting the shield to set up the board for racking up some points with the blue monsters; this usually is simply knocking out a few blocks to create a "chute" from the top of the board to the bottom.

PS--I think that 8k bonus diamond is stupid.

Do's Wild Ride: 35,635

That level with the bouncing horses was driving me nuts.

Cool game, but at least for the first 4 levels, once you find a pattern you can do it blindfolded.
