Round ends Sunday, October 30th 2011 @ 9pm EST.
Play an alternate version of Beamrider for a bonus point: pic required and only one point to a player! (2600,INTV, A8, C64, etc)

I could never get into this game. I checked, and I don't own the cart. Maybe I can try a few rounds via emulation.

The one tip i can give is don't shoot the extra life.

Biff shot it at the 1:20 mark

my short term goal is to break 30,000 and ultimately 40,000 for the patch! glad this game was picked so I can get back to playing it and motivated to reach my goals

it gets even harder at sector 14… enemies start to shoot from the side, and I've had moments where every beam were filled with enemies, rocks, sparks, bullets… I have no choice but to die!

I think I'll be lucky to break 30,000… I'll have to get every extend, AND get every boss that I can to hopefully be close by sector 12 because that's where I start to burn through lives like crazy!

but I'm masochistic, and enjoy this pain!

It get's crazy hard around sector 18
Theres 2 of those little things that follow you around the bottom of the screen.

While I'll only get the same 1 bonus point as everyone else, I did play 3 other ports of this game for comparison purposes. I'd rate 2600 as the hardest, while INTV/C64/5200 almost exactly the same. This game never "grabbed me" and has always been something I play about once a decade.
